18-26. Candidates born between 02.01.1999 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for this post. Note:- 1. The name, age limit and qualifications of this post has been prescribed as per GO(P)No.50/21/Home dated 02.07.2021. (SRO No.497/21) 2. The upper age limit shall be relaxed upto 29 years for candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes, upto 31 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and upto 41 years for Ex-service men. 3. Those who have horse riding experience in Indian Armed Forces/Central Armed Police Forces/National Police Academy or worked in Mounted Police Units of other States will be given upper age relaxation upto 5 years. [Other conditions regarding age relaxation in para(2)except para 2(i) of the general conditions are not applicable to this selection]

(1) Educational: a) Must have passed Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent. b) Must have minimum one year experience as Farrier having acquired skill in horse's hoof care, trimming and balancing of hooves, placing of shoes on their hooves and fabricating of horse shoes from a Firm/Sports Club having registration under State/Central Government or State Sports Council/Sports Authority of India. (2) Physical Qualifications: All candidates must be physically fit and possess the following minimum physical standards:- (a) (i) Height : Must not be less than 168 cm. (ii) Chest : Must not be less than 81 cm round the chest with a minimum expansion of 5cm Note: Minimum Height and chest measurements shall be 161 cm and 76 cm respectively for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes candidates. The minimum chest expansion of 5 cm shall however be applicable for them also. (b) Physical Efficiency Test:- (1) Candidate must be physically fit in all respects and must qualify in any 5 events out of 8 items specified below of the national physical efficiency one star standard test with minimum standard noted against each. (c) Eye sight :- Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses: Vision: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen (Right/Left), Near Vision 0.5 Snellen (Right/Left).

Note: Differently abled candidates and female candidates are not eligible to apply in response to this notification. - The Ranked list published shall cease to be in force after one year from the date of finalization of the ranked list. - Proficiency test on the respective subjects prior to the appointment will be assessed by a Practical Test conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission. - Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable. - Experience Certificate should be submitted in the form shown in the notification. - Candidates having 'A', 'B' & 'C' certificate of NCC will be given weightage marks at the rate of 2%, 3% and 5% respectively. - Extra Marks will be awarded to meritorious sports persons. - Student Police Cadet (SPC) Certificate holders will be given weightage marks. - No application fee is required. - Last date of submission of applications : 14.01.2026 Wednesday up to 12 midnight.
