18-40. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2004 (Both dates included). SC/ST candidates and Other Backward Communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. Note :- For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para (2) of the General Conditions under Part II of this Notification.

A) A degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Pass in Pre-Degree with Part III Arabic (Special Optional) of the Calicut University. OR A Pass in Plus Two, Part III Arabic (Optional) course conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination in Kerala OR A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala with Arabic under Part I and Part II first Language. OR A pass in SSLC examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent and any one of the following qualifications. 1) A Pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Higher) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examination, Kerala. 2) A Pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Lower) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 3) A Pass in Arabic Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 4) A Pass in Arabic Entrance Examination of the Kerala and Calicut Universities. Note: In addition to the above qualifications, as per G.O. (Ms) No.8/19/G.Edn dated 14.01.2019, BA Arabic & Islamic History double main degree awarded or recognised by Universities in Kerala will also be considered as a qualification for the above said post. B) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test-IV (K.TET IV) for the post conducted by the Government of Kerala Exemption: Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed in the respective subjects are exempted from acquiring TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16 , G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016). Candidates who have acquired KTET Category III are exempted from acquiring KTET Category IV [G.O.(Ms)No.109/22/GEDN dated. 24.06.2022] Note : 1. As per Govt. Circular No.1866829/J3/2017/G.Edn dtd 09.03.2018, exemptions are given to those who have passed CTET Primary stage from KTET Category I and CTET Elementary stage from KTET Category II. Based on the above condition, CTET will not be considered against KTET Category III and IV. 2. As per G.O.(P) No 15/2020/G.Edn dated 09.10.2020, M.Ed which is prescribed as a substitute qualification for KTET need not be subject specific. 3.M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. 4. Candidates should possess the minimum general educational qualification for the post viz, A pass in SSLC examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent (G.O.(Ms)No. 232/2009/G.Edn. Dated 30.11.2009.) 5. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce relevant Government Orders during verification to prove that the qualification claimed is equivalent to the prescribed qualification for the post. 6. Rule 10(a) (ii) of Part II KS&SSR will be applicable for this post. Note:- In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission .

Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration on www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected. A Ranked list will be prepared for Thrissur district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies, if any, reported during the currency of the list. Candidates should submit application for this post to Thrissur District and should note the name of that district against the relevant column of the online application. The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O. (Ms) No. 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he or she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(Ms) No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. But as per the G.O.(P) No.12/96 P&ARD dated 16.3.1996 the conditions of 5 years service is not applicable for transfer to the districts Idukki, Wayanad and Kasaragod. The concession will be available only for getting transfer to these districts but not for getting transfer out of these districts. And these concession will be granted only once in the career of a Govt. Servant. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. As per G.O(P)No.19/2020/SJD dated 25.08.2020, 4 % of the fresh vacancies reported to the Commission are reserved for the below mentioned categories. 1.Blindness and Low vision 2.Deaf and Hard of hearing 3.Locomotor disability including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims and Muscular Dystrophy 4.Autism, Specific Learning Disability, Intellectual Disability, Mental Illness 5.Multiple Disability Difffrently Abled candidates should possess Physical and Functional requirements as stipulated in the above mentioned Government Order. SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT: Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(Ms) No. 50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970 and G.O. (Ms) No. 9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.01.1978 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Laboratory Attenders in the departmental High Schools in the State who have rendered atleast 5 years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit. First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers. Mode of submitting application: Candidates must register as per ‘ONE TIME REGISTRATION’ with the official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. The Photograph uploaded should be taken after 31.12.2012. Candidates creating new profile should upload the photograph taken within 6 months. Name of the candidate and the date of photograph taken should be printed legibly at the bottom portion. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of taking of photograph. No application fee is required. Candidates are advised to keep a printout or soft copy of the online application for future reference. Candidates who have AADHAAR card should add AADHAAR card as I.D. Proof in their profile. Special Instructions to Candidates: In the case of difference in Caste/ Community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette Notification in this regard, along with Non-Creamy Layer Certificate/ Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification. Appropriate disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure shall be initiated against those candidates who submit applications with bogus claims of qualification regarding education, experience etc. If a Written Test/OMR/Online Examination is conducted as a part of this selection, candidates shall submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their 'One Time Registration' Profile.
