District wise 529/2014 : Scheduled Caste – Ernakulam – 1 (One) 530/2014 : Ezhava/Billava/Thiyya – Ernakulam - 1 (One) Ezhava/Billava/Thiyya – Kannur - 1 (One)

Direct Recruitment (from Ezhava/Billava/Thiyya, Scheduled Caste communities only). In the absence of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste community, candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe community will be considered.

(1) 18 – 43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1971 and 01.01.1996 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in the case of Ezhava/Billava/Thiyya community. (2) 18 – 45. Only candidates born between 02.01.1969 and 01.01.1996 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in the case of Scheduled Caste community. [Including the relaxation as per para 2 (i) of General Conditions]

A degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A title of oriental learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala OR A pass in Pre-Degree Examination in the Part III Arabic (special optional) from the Calicut University. OR A pass in SSLC examination Kerala or its equivalent and a pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Higher) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examination, Kerala. OR A pass in Arabic Preliminary Examination of the Kerala or Calicut Universities. OR A pass in SSLC Examination of Kerala or its equivalent and a pass in Arabic Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR A pass in plus two, Part III, Arabic (Optional Course) conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala. (This qualification is included as per G.O (MS) No 154/08/Gen Edn dtd 3.9.08

(i) Conventional type applications for the above post will be summarily rejected. Candidates can apply online only by One Time Registration on www.keralapsc.gov.in (ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued. (iii) Separate Ranked lists will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above communities, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following districts: Name of District: Ernakulam, Date of publication of Ranked List: 3.09.2013, Category No.: 436/2009 Name of District: Kannur, Date of publication of Ranked List: 20.11.2013, Category No.: 436/2009 (iv) Reservation community candidates shall submit application for the post to the concerned district where the vacancy is existing for their respective community and shall note the name of that district against the relevant column in the online application. Application should not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification. If applications are sent in violation to the above direction and if the candidate is selected his/her name will be removed from the ranked list and disciplinary action will be taken against him /her. (v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O (Ms) No. 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS) No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. Note for Age Limit:- For conditions regarding other age relaxation please see para 2 of the general conditions except para 2 (i). Special concessions regarding Appointment and age limit:- (i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970 and G.O.(MS) No. 9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.01.1978 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base Establishment are included under the term `Jawans'. Wives of Jawans should select “Are you entitled to any priority” as yes on the online application and give the details in the space following. Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer Commanding stating the name, military rank and military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O (MS) No. 509/64/Edn. Dated 19.09.1964, G.O.(MS) No. 614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.1965 and G.O (MS) No. 243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.1966). (ii) First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O (MS) No. 122/75/G.Edn. Dated 27.05.1975 and GO (MS No 50/70/PD dt 12.2.1970). Note:- The candidates who claim concessions by virtue of the above or any reason mentioned in Para 2 of the General Condition should state “Are you eligible for age relaxation” as “yes” on the online application and give details in the space following otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates. Upper age limit after allowing the relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years of age (see para 2 of General Conditions).
