Direct Recruitment (from candidates belonging to Hindu Nadar, Scheduled Tribe communities only)
Age Limit
18-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in the case of Hindu Nadar candidates.
18-45. Only candidates born between 02.01.1978 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in the case of Scheduled Tribe candidates.(Including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of the general condition)
Note:- For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years , please see para 2 of the general conditions under Part II of this Notification except para 2(i).
Qualifications
(i) A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent.
OR
A pass in Pre-degree examination conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala or any examination recognized by any such Universities in Kerala as equivalent to Pre-degree examination.
OR
A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala or any other Examinations recognized by Government as equivalent thereto.
(2) A pass in TTC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.
Note :- As per G.O(R T)No.3280/13/G.Edn dated 05.08.2013, the TTC qualification has been renamed as D.Ed (Diploma in Teacher Education) and subsequently as per G.O(RT)No.1700/18/G.Edn. Dated 05.05.2018 and G.O(RT)No.2009/18/G.Edn dated 30.05.2018 again renamed as D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education). The candidates who possess D.Ed/D.El.Ed qualification shall also be considered for the selection.
(3) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala.
Exemption:
1. Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the respective subjects / M.Ed. in any subject are exempted from acquiring TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16, G.O. (P)No.206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016 and G.O (P)No.15/2020/G.Edn dated 9.10.20)
2. As per the conditions laid down in Government Circular No. 1866829/J3/2017/ G. Edn. Dated 09.03.2018 those who passes CTET primary stage and CTET Elementary stage were excluded from KTET Cat.I & KTET Cat. II respectively. Also CTET qualification can't be considered as an alternative qualification for KTET Cat. III and Cat. IV.
Notes
(i) Candidates can apply online only by One Time Registration on www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected.
(ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to such candidates.
(iii) Separate Ranked List will be prepared for each reservation group of communities for each district in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above communities , but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of Ranked List published for the post in the following date.
(iv) The Candidates belonging to above reservation communities shall submit application for this post to the concerned district where the vacancy is in existence for their respective community and shall note the name of that district against relevant column of the application. Applications should not be submitted to more than one district in response to this notification. If applications are submitted contrary to the above direction, and if selected his/her name will be removed from the Ranked List and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her.
(v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O. (MS)No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS)No.4/61/PD, dated 02.1.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified.
(vi) M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala.
(vii) Candidates who have not studied the Regional Language Malayalam either under Part-I or Part-II or as medium of instruction for SSLC will not be eligible for appointment to the post.[G.O(RT) No. 534/2002/G.Edn dated 19.03.2002, G.O(MS) No.44/75/G.Edn. Dated 29.01.1975, GO(MS)No.19/23/G.Edn dated 24.02.23.
(viii) B.Ed will not be accepted in lieu of TTC qualification.
(ix) If there is a written (Descriptive /OMR) test the Question paper for the written test will be in Malayalam. Candidate should answer the questions in Malayalam. In the case of OMR answer script, answers are to be marked as instructed.
(x) KS & SSR part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable for selection to this post.
(xi) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission.
(xii) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970 and G.O. (MS) No. 9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.01.1978 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base Establishment are included under the term `Jawans'. Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer Commanding stating the name, military rank and military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O (MS) No. 509/64/Edn. Dated 19.09.1964, G.O.(MS) No.614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.1965 and G.O (MS) No.243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.1966).
(xiii) First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O.(MS) No.122/75/G.Edn. dated 27.05.1975 and G.O.(MS) No.50/70/PD dated 12/02/1970).
