Direct Recruitment (From Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava community only). Applications submitted by candidates other than the above-mentioned community will be rejected. No individual rejection intimation will be given to such candidates.
Age Limit
18-41. Candidates must be born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included).
Qualifications
1. Ability to read and write in Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada. 2. Srank Competency Certificate issued by the Mercantile Marine Department (MMD).
Notes
Note: Candidates who have worked provisionally in the said establishment and who were within the prescribed age limit at the time of their provisional appointment will be given age relaxation to the extent of their provisional service, subject to a maximum of five years. This concession will not be available to those who have already held regular appointments in the establishment. Candidates in provisional service should obtain a certificate from the establishment showing the duration of their service and produce it as and when required by the Commission. It should be specifically mentioned in the certificate that they have not worked in regular service.
