18-43. Candidates should have been born between 02.01.1977 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) including the relaxation as per Para 2 (i) of the General Conditions. (For conditions regarding the upper age limit, please see the General Conditions under Part II of this Notification, except para 2(i)).

1) A Degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR Pre-Degree with Part III Arabic (Optional) of the Calicut University. OR Plus Two Part III Arabic (Optional) course conducted by the Board of Higher Education, Kerala. OR Passed SSLC Examination with Arabic as First Language (Full marks) paper I and II conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR Passed SSLC Examination or its equivalent and possessing any of the following qualifications: 1) Arabic Munshi Examination (Higher) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 2) Arabic Munshi Examination (Lower) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 3) Arabic Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 4) Arabic Entrance Examination of the Kerala/Calicut Universities. Note: As per G.O. (Ms) No.8/19/G.Edn dated 14.01.2019, BA Arabic & Islamic History double main degree awarded by the universities in Kerala is treated as equivalent to BA Arabic for this post. 2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post. Exemption: Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed in the respective subjects are exempted from acquiring TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.2016, G.O.(P) No.206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016). Note 1: M.Ed need not be in the concerned subject as per G.O.(P) No.15/2020/G.Edn dated 09.10.2020. Note 2: M.Phil acquired in the concerned subject from any of the Universities in Kerala or recognized by them as equivalent shall be sufficient. Note 3: Candidates possessing minimum educational qualification shall be SSLC or equivalent as per GO (MS) No. 232/09/G.Edn dated 30.11.2009. Note 4: Equivalent qualifications will be considered only if Government Orders in proof of equivalency is produced along with application. Note 5: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable.

(i) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. (ii) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked Lists thus prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above communities, remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post or upto 3 years from the date of coming into force of the Ranked List whichever is earlier. (iii) Candidates shall submit application to the district only in respect of their reservation community and note the name of the district in the appropriate column of the online application. (iv) The selection pursuant to this notification will be subject to the rules laid down in G.O.(MS)No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. (v) Reservation for wives of Jawans: Wives of Jawans/Ex-Servicemen who are eligible for preferential treatment as per G.O(MS)No.50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970, G.O.(MS)No.9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.01.1978 are eligible for priority in appointment.
