Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes).

23-45, (Only Candidates born between 02.01.1977 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post). Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

(I) Master's Degree in Chemistry with not less than 45% marks awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification (II) 1 B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent there to by a University in Kerala. 2 In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed. Degree in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. 3 In the absence of persons with B.Ed Degree as specified in items (1) and (2) above, persons with B.Ed Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent there to by any of the Universities in Kerala. (III) Must have passed the State Eligibility Test in the concerned subject for the post of Non Vocational Teacher conducted by Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government. Note:- Persons who have acquired M.Ed in the subject concerned recognized by any university in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed qualification. Exemptions 1) Those persons who have passed the State Level Eligibility Test for the post of College Lecturers conducted by Government of Kerala are exempted from the State Eligibility Test for Non-Vocational Teacher. 2) Those persons who have passed the State Eligibility Test for the post of HSST conducted by the Government of Kerala are exempted from the State Eligibility Test for Non-Vocational Teacher. 3) Those persons who have passed the National Eligibility Test/Junior Research Fellowship shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test. 4) Persons with Ph.D/M.Phil/M.Ed Degree shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test provided the M.Phil in the concerned subject should be one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognized as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. 5) Those who have submitted PhD Thesis and passed MPhil shall be exempted from SET upto the time of exemption granted by the UGC from time to time as in the case of candidates having the above qualifications from passing NET.

Note:- The above vacancy is now in existence. The Ranked list of selected candidates published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year is published. Recruitment will be made for the above vacancy and also for the vacancies reported for Special Recruitment from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes only during the currency of the list. Candidates against vacancies exclusively reported for Scheduled Tribes will also be advised from this list and only in the absence of Scheduled Tribe candidates in this list, fresh notification for Scheduled Tribes for vacancies reserved exclusively for them shall be issued. Note:- Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued. Explanation:- Non Vocational Teacher means full time post of Non Vocational Teacher having work load of 15 periods or more per week per subject Probation:- Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he/she joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Note I (a) Candidates who have acquired Non-qualifying degrees viz.Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship will be awarded weightage marks provided that such non-qualifying degrees shall be in the subjects pertaining to the basic qualification stipulated for the post."Weightage marks for non qualifying degrees for ranking will be awarded as detailed below". Non-Qualifying M.Phil - 2 marks Non-Qualifying Ph.D- 4 marks Both M.Phil & Ph.D (Non-Qualifying) -5 marks Post Doctoral Fellowship - 2 marks (b) Non-Qualifying degree means the additional qualifications which are earned apart from the qualifications insisted on as essential qualifications for the post. If Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship is reckoned as necessary qualification for the post, weightage marks will not be awarded for it. Note II 1 Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II KS&SSR is applicable for this selection. 2 In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, the qualifications declared by the Government by Executive Orders or by Standing Orders as equivalent to the prescribed educational qualification, the qualifications decided by the Commission as equivalent to the qualifications prescribed in the Special Rules and the higher qualifications having the above prescribed qualifications as its basic qualification will also be accepted. The Government order regarding the equivalent qualification / higher qualification should be produced as and when required by the Commission. 3 If the caste of candidates is wrongly mentioned in their SSLC book, they should claim their original caste in their applications and should produce community certificate issued from concerned revenue authority and the Gazette Notification for the same at the time of certificate verification. 11 Paragraphs two, three and twenty five (except the conditions laid down in the Rule 3 (C) of Part II of the kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules) are not applicable to this selection. 12 The Degrees/Diplomas awarded by UGC approved Universities or Institutions established through an act passed by Parliament/State Legislative Assembly in accordance with the conditions laid down in GO(M.S) No.526/PD dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable for appointment in Government Services. 13 Appointment are made on the basis of the rank secured in the ranked list of candidates prepared in pursuance of this notification subject to the conditions laid down in G.O (MS) No.142/72/PD dated 13.04.72, G.O (MS) No.309/73/PD dated 29.11.73, G.O.(P) No. 21/76/PD dated, 17.01.1976 and G.O. (P) No.25/94/GAD dated, 22.01.1994 allowing special reservations to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes in accordance with the procedures made for this purpose from time to time and subject to the rules under sections 3(c), 17(A), 17(B) of Part II of Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958.
