Age Limit
25 – 36; Candidates born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.1998 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. SC/ST and other backward communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. (For conditions regarding age relaxation, see Part II, Para 2 of the General Conditions of the Gazette Notification).
Qualifications
Master's Degree in History of Art with not less than 55% marks from a recognized University. (G.O.(P) No. 215/88/H.Edn. Dated 11.10.1988)
Notes
I: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a) ii is applicable. II: Candidates who have acquired Ph.D./M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship in the concerned subjects as additional qualifications will be given additional marks. The additional marks for non-qualifying qualifications will be given as follows: Non-qualifying M.Phil - 2 marks Non-qualifying Ph.D - 4 marks Both M.Phil & Ph.D (Non-qualifying) - 5 marks Post Doctoral Fellowship - 2 marks Non-qualifying qualifications mean additional qualifications acquired over and above the required qualifications for the post. If Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship is considered as the basic qualification, no additional marks will be given. Only non-qualifying degrees acquired and mentioned in the application before the last date of receipt of applications will be given weightage marks. III: In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, qualifications declared as equivalent by the Government through executive orders or standing orders, and qualifications fixed by the Commission as equivalent to the qualifications prescribed in the Special Rules, and higher qualifications than the basic qualification prescribed, will be accepted. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications must be produced when required by the Commission. IV: Degrees/Diplomas awarded by Universities recognized by the UGC or institutions established by Act of Parliament/State Legislature as per the provisions of G.O(M.S) No.526/PD dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable for appointment in Government Service.
