18-36. Candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation is applicable to SC/ST and other backward communities. (For other age relaxation conditions, see Part II of the General Conditions).

(1) Pass in 7th Standard or equivalent qualification. (2) Must have good physical condition. (3) Experience in rowing and swimming will be tested through a practical test.

1. Women and differently-abled candidates are not eligible to apply for this post. 2. Medical certificate proving physical fitness must be produced when required by the Commission. 3. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. 4. In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, qualifications declared by the Government as equivalent to the prescribed educational qualification through executive orders or standing orders, qualifications fixed by the Commission as equivalent to the qualifications in the special rules, and higher qualifications which have the prescribed qualifications as basic qualifications shall be accepted. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications must be produced when required by the Commission. 5. If the caste/community claimed by the candidate in the application differs from that recorded in the SSLC book, a Gazette notification regarding the change of caste along with the caste certificate must be produced at the time of certificate verification. 6. Probation: Any person appointed to this post shall be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining duty. 7. Candidates must read the General Conditions included as Part II along with the Gazette notification before submitting the application. Applications submitted against the general conditions will be rejected. 8. Candidates having Aadhaar card should provide the Aadhaar card as an identity document in their profile.
