Direct Recruitment from among Scheduled Caste community only

25-41. Only candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post [including para 2 (i) of General Conditions]. [For other conditions regarding age relaxations, please see Para 2 of the General Conditions of the Gazette notification, except para 2 (i)]

I) Educational Qualifications:- A) A Degree in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering recognized by the Government of Kerala. B) Post qualification experience for a period of not less than 5 years in a major Registered Automobile workshop having not less than 50 employees of which not less than three years should be as an Assistant Engineer or its equivalent post and the same shall be one acquired after the date of registration of the work shop. The experience should be in Automobile Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering. C) Must have valid current Heavy Duty Licence for driving. Note: (a) KS&SSR Part-II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. (b) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the Notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for the post, in the special rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government Orders declaring equivalent/ higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission. (c) An Experience Certificate in the form given as APPENDIX-I of this notification, shall be produced as and when called for by the Commission. All Experience certificates should be duly certified by the concerned Controlling Officer/ Head of Office of the Government. The veracity of the experience certificates will be subjected to scrutiny and legal actions will be taken against the authorities who issue, and against the candidates who produce bogus Experience Certificate. (d) Candidates shall possess a Current valid Driving License throughout all the stages of selection process, as on the last date of application, OMR/Online Test, Certificate Verification, Physical Measurement, Interview, etc., (e) Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 should have separate endorsements of heavy-duty goods vehicles and heavy-duty passenger vehicles. Applications with only one endorsement will be summarily rejected. II) Physical Qualification:- A) Must be Physically Fit and should possess the following minimum Physical Standards:- (i) Height – 165 cm (ii) Chest – 81 cm (normal) Chest expansion: 5 cm (minimum) B) Should be Certified to possess the Visual Standards specified below without glasses. Right Eye: Distant vision 6/6 snellen, Near vision 0.5 snellen Left Eye: Distant vision 6/6 snellen, Near vision 0.5 snellen

Note: (i) The above vacancy is now in existence. The NCA Ranked list published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the above vacancy earmarked for the Scheduled Caste community, but remain unfilled due to the paucity of candidates belonging to the above mentioned community during the currency of the Ranked list published on 10.08.2023 for the post (Category No.482/2019 Gazette Date 31.12.2019).This is the second NCA notification due to the paucity of qualified candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste community after the issuance of first NCA notification as given below. (ii) The name, age limit and qualification of this post has been prescribed as per G.O. (P).No.166/2005/Home Dated 10.06.2005 (SRO.No.621/2005), G.O.(P).No. 141/2017/Home Dated 15.12.2017 (SRO.No.34/18). Note:- Applications submitted by candidates belonging to communities other than the above will be summarily rejected. Note: (a) Each Eye must have a Full Field of Vision (b) Colour Blindness, Squint or any Morbid Conditions of the Eyes or Lids of either Eye shall be a disqualification. (c) A Medical Certificate in the form given as APPENDIX-II of this notification, in original signed by a Medical Officer not below the Rank of a Civil Surgeon in Government Hospital certifying the Physical Fitness and Visual Standards shall be produced as and when called for by the Commission. (d) The Physical Measurement of the candidates will be taken prior to Interview and those who do not possess the prescribed Physical Measurements will not be admitted for the Interview. 8. Training & Test :- Every Person appointed shall undergo a training for a period of six months and shall pass a test as prescribed for Motor Transport Sub Inspector within the period of probation unless he has already passed the same. 9. Probation:- Every Person appointed shall be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Probation shall commence only from the date of successful completion of the prescribed training. 10. Mode of Submitting applications: (A) Candidates shall register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION ' system on the Official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.gov.in' for applying for the post. Candidates are advised to keep a printout or soft copy of the online application for future reference. (B) If written/OMR/Online Test is conducted as part of this selection, candidates possessing requisite qualification as per Para 7 above alone shall submit a Confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration profiles. (C) The Examination Schedule and the Syllabus will be notified separately. (D) Candidates who have AADHAAR card should add AADHAAR card as ID Proof in their profile. 13. Special Instructions to Candidates:- (A) In the case of difference in caste/ community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette notification in this regard, along with Community Certificate at the time of Certificate Verification. (B) Candidates are required to acquaint themselves with the instructions given in the notification as Part-II, General Conditions before submitting application for the post. (C) Appropriate disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure shall be initiated against those candidates who submit applications with bogus claims of qualification regarding education, experience etc.
