19-36. Only candidates born between 01.01.2001 and 02.01.1984 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Other Backward Communities and Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes are eligible for usual age relaxation. In no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 years. Note: The provisional hands working in the above concern will be given age relaxation to the extent of their provisional service put in subject to a maximum of five years from the upper age limit provided they are within the prescribed age limit on the date of their first appointment in the above concern. But the regular employees of the concern are not eligible for the above concession for further appointment. The provisional hands should obtain a certificate showing the period of their provisional service in the concern and shall produce the same as and when required by the Commission. It would also be clearly specified in the certificate that they were not working in the regular service of the concern. Should possess a pass in any one of the following qualifications (a to k). (a) SMT(Sree Moolam Technical Institute) Overseer Course(Two Years Course). OR (b) Draftsman Course,College of Engineering,Guindy. OR (c) Group certificate under KGTE/MGTE. Note: Group certificate will include all the four groups viz. Building Drawing,Building Construction, Survey and Irrigation. OR (d) A Pass in eight Subjects Under KGTE/MGTE viz. 1.Surveying and Leveling(Higher). 2.Applied Mechanics(Higher). 3.Building Materials and Constructions(Higher). 4.Hydraulics and Irrigation(Higher). 5.Building Drawing and Estimating(Higher). 6.Earth work and Road making(Higher). 7.Geometrical Drawing(Lower) or Practical Plane and Solid Geometry (Lower). 8.Mensuration(Lower). OR (e) Certificate Course of College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram(2 Years Course). OR (f)Draftsman (Civil) or Draftsman (Mechanical) Diploma obtained after 18 months course (followed by 6 months practical training ) at the Industrial Training Centre conducted by the Government of India,Ministry of Labour at Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Chalakudy, Kannur or elsewhere. Note: (1) Candidates who have successfully completed the industrial training for 18 months will also be treated as qualified even if they have not completed the period of implant training.But their appointments will be treated as provisional and regularized only after completion of 6 months training. (2) Diploma in craftsmanship(Trade Test Certificate) in the trade of Draftsman(Civil) or Mechanical awarded to private candidates without insisting on 6 months practical training will be treated as on alternative qualification for direct recruitment to the post. OR (g) Pass in Kerala Government Certificate Examination in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. OR (h) National Apprenticeship Certificate in the Trade of Draftsman (Civil) or Draftsman Mechanical awarded after completion of full term apprenticeship for a minimum period of 3 years. OR (I) Pass in Overseers Course conducted by the Government. OR (j) Surveying and Leveling KGTE or MGTE with any three of the following Subjects. (1) Building Drawing and Estimating (Higher). (2) Building Materials and Constructions(Higher). (3)Earth Work and Road making (Higher). (4)Hydraulics and Irrigation (Higher). (5) Applied Mechanics (Higher). OR (k)Diploma in Civil Engineering(Two Years Course) of the Women's Polytechnics of the state.

1.The above vacancies are now in existence. The list of selected candidates published by the Commission in pursuance of this Notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of One year and a maximum period of three years provided that list will not continue to be in force if a new Ranked List after the minimum period of expiry of one year is published. Candidates will be advised against the vacancies shown above and for all the vacancies reported during the period of pendency of the Ranked list. 2. Kerala Public Service Commission shall have the power to cancel the advice for appointment of any candidates to the above post, if it is subsequently found that such advise was made under some mistake. On such cancellation, the Appointing Authority shall terminate the service of candidate, provided that, the cancellation of advise for appointment by the Commission and subsequent termination of service of the candidate by the Appointing Authority shall be made within the period of probation or 240 days from the date of joining duty whichever is earlier. 3. 3% of the vacancies for the post shall be reserved for differently abled candidates with Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy, Hearing Impairment, as per G.O.(P)No.1/2013/SJD dtd 03.01.2013. Note under Qualifications: 1 Probation- Any person appointed to this post shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. 2 Rule10(a)ii of part II of KS &SSR is applicable. 3 Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. 4 In the case of difference in original Caste/Community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC Book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette Notification in this regard, along with Non Creamy Layer /Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification. 5 Appropriate disciplinary/ penal action as per Rule 22 of KPSC Rules of Procedure, will be initiated against those candidates who give confirmation for writing the examination by providing false claims about their qualification/ experience irrespective of whether they have attended or abstained from the examination.
