21-40. Only candidates born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Communities. (For conditions regarding the age relaxation please see Part II Para 2 of the General Conditions.)

Degree in Electrical Engineering of the Kerala University or other Qualification recognised as its equivalent thereto.

Note (Vacancies): Three Percentage (3%) of the vacancies for the post will be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates (Candidates with Locomotor Disability, Cerebral Palsy, Low Vision, hearing impairment) vide G.O (P) No.61/2012/SWD dtd.17.10.2012. Note (Method of appointment): Persons appointed to the above post shall be liable not withstanding , at the time of requisition, they are holding higher appointments, to serve for a minimum period of 4 years (including the period spent on training) in the Defence Services or on assignment relating to Defence efforts anywhere in India or abroad if so required. The liability to serve in the Defence Service will be limited to the first 10 years of service and will not ordinarily apply to persons above 40 years of age. Note (Qualifications): a. Rule 10 a (ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable. b. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. c. In the case of difference in original caste/ community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette notification in this regard, along with Non Creamy Layer Certificate/ Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification.
