23-45. Candidates must be born between 02.01.1978 and 01.01.2000 (both dates included). The upper age limit is relaxable up to 50 years for qualified candidates, but in no case shall it exceed 50 years.

1 (i) Master's Degree in Physics with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala. 2 (i) Must have acquired B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject from any of the Universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala. (ii) In the absence of candidates with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed. Degree in the concerned faculty from any of the Universities in Kerala (as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala). (iii) In the absence of candidates with B.Ed. Degree as per items 2(i) and 2(ii) above, B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired from any of the Universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala. 3 (i) Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Non-Vocational Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by any agency authorized by the Government of Kerala. Note: Candidates who have acquired M.Ed. in the concerned subject recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala are exempted from the requirement of B.Ed. qualification.

1. The vacancy is currently existing. The Ranked List prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. If a new Ranked List is published for the post after one year, the current list will cease to be in force. Vacancies reported to the Commission during the currency of the Ranked List will be filled from the Ranked List prepared for the Scheduled Tribes only. 2. Applications from candidates other than Scheduled Tribes will be rejected. No individual intimation will be given regarding the rejection of applications. 3. Special Exemptions: Candidates who have passed SLET, SET, National Eligibility Test, Junior Research Fellowship, or possess Ph.D./M.Ed./M.Phil. are exempted from the requirement of passing the State Eligibility Test (SET) subject to conditions. 4. Clarification: 'Non-Vocational Teacher' means a post in which the teacher has to teach 15 periods or more per week in each subject. 5. Note 1 (a): Additional marks will be given for non-qualifying degrees like Ph.D./M.Phil./Post Doctoral Fellowship. (b) Non-qualifying qualifications mean qualifications higher than those prescribed as essential. If Ph.D./M.Phil./Post Doctoral Fellowship is considered as essential qualification, no additional marks will be awarded. 6. Note 2: Degrees/Diplomas awarded by Universities/Institutions established by Act of Parliament/State Legislature or recognized by UGC are acceptable. KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. 7. Probation: The person appointed to this post shall be on probation for a period of two years of service within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining duty. 8. Candidates must upload a photograph taken within 6 months of the date of application. The photograph must have the name of the candidate and the date of taking the photograph clearly recorded. 9. No application fee is required. 10. Candidates must keep a soft copy/print out of the online application for future use.
