18 - 36. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included). (SC/ST and other backward communities are eligible for age relaxation as per rules). The upper age limit shall not exceed 50 years (inclusive of all relaxations).

SSLC or equivalent examination.

i) Separate rank lists will be prepared for each district. The rank list will remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum of three years. If a new rank list is published after one year, the old list will cease to exist. Vacancies reported during the validity of the rank list will be filled from the list. If no one is advised from the list within 3 years, the list will expire. ii) Candidates should apply to only one district. Applying to more than one district will lead to rejection of applications. iii) Selection is district-wise as per G.O.(MS) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Inter-district transfer is not allowed for 5 years. Exceptions apply for Idukki, Wayanad, and Kasaragod districts as per G.O.(P) No. 12/96/P&ARD dated 16.03.1996. iv) Candidates appointed to posts like Store Keeper/Cashier requiring fidelity guarantee policy must submit a consent letter at the time of certificate verification. v) 4% of vacancies are reserved for differently-abled candidates as per G.O(P)No.07/2022/SJD dated 28/10/2022. vi) Advice for vacancies in the Headquarters office will be made from the Thiruvananthapuram district list. vii) Selection will be based on an OMR test based on SSLC standard.
