Age Limit

18-40. Candidates born between 02/01/1983 and 01/01/2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Usual age relaxation will be given to SC/ST and Other Backward Communities.

Qualifications

1) A Degree in Malayalam conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala or a Degree with Malayalam as one of the optional subjects under Pattern II of Part III and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Malayalam awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala and Certificate in Language Teacher Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption: Candidates who have acquired KTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the relevant subject are exempted from the requirement of passing KTET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.2016, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016). As per G.O (P) No.15/2020/G.Edn dated 09.10.2020, MEd is not mandatory for KTET.

Notes: i) Candidates should submit their applications as per One Time Registration through the official website www.keralapsc.gov.in. ii) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for the districts mentioned in this notification. The Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. iii) Candidates should submit their application for only one district and specify the name of the district in the relevant column of the online application. iv) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a district-wise basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. v) 4% of the vacancies reported are reserved for differently abled candidates as per G.O.(P) No. 7/2022/SJD dated 28.10.2022.
