Age Limit
SIUC-Nadar Community & Scheduled Caste Converted to Christianity [SCCC] Community: 19-34. Only candidates born between 02.01.1990 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post [including para 2 (i) of General Conditions]. Note:- In the case of adult members of Scheduled caste and their children converted to Christianity, the upper age limit shall be 36 years. Scheduled Caste Community: 19-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1988 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post [including para 2 (i) of General Conditions].
Qualifications
I) Educational Qualifications:- Must possess B.A, B.Sc or B.Com Degree of any recognized University or its equivalent. In the case of Ex-Servicemen, the minimum qualification shall be SSLC. II) Physical Qualification:- A) Must be Physically Fit for strenuous outdoor work and should possess the following minimum physical standards:- For Male Candidates: Height – 165 cm (160 cm for SC candidates), Chest – 81 cm (normal), Chest expansion: 5 cm (minimum). For Female Candidates: Height – 152 cm (150 cm for SC candidates). B) Should be Certified to possess the Visual Standards specified below without glasses: Distant vision 6/6 snellen, Near vision 0.5 snellen. III) Physical Efficiency Test:- In addition to the qualification prescribed above every candidate will be subjected to a Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates should qualify in at least five out of the following eight items of National Physical Efficiency One Star Standards Test with minimum standards noted against each.
Notes
Differently Abled candidates are not eligible to apply in response to this notification. Applications submitted by candidates belonging to communities other than the above will be summarily rejected. NCC Certificate holders having ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ categories will be given weightage marks at the rate of 2% , 3% and 5% respectively. Every person appointed to this post shall from the date on which he/she joins duty be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. Every person appointed as Excise Inspector (Trainee) by direct recruitment shall undergo training for a period of not less than twelve months as may be prescribed by the Commissioner of Excise. Every person appointed to this post should pass Account Test (Lower), Excise Tests Parts A & B and District Office Manual/ Manual of Office Procedure, within the period of probation, if he/ she has not already passed them.
