18-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1977 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. [including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions]. 18-45 – Only candidates born between 02.01.1975 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in the case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe. (Including the relaxation as per para 2 (i) of general conditions Note: - For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years , please see para 2 of the general conditions under Part II of this Notification except para 2(i).

(1)A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. OR A pass in Pre-degree examination conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala or any examination recognized by any such Universities in Kerala as equivalent to Pre-degree examination. OR A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala or any other Examinations recognized by Government as equivalent thereto. (2) A pass in TTC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR A Degree in any subject and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognised by the Universities in Kerala. Note :- As per G.O(R T)No.3280/13/G.Edn dated 5.8.13, the TTC qualification has been renamed as D.Ed (Diploma in Teacher Education) and subsequently as per G.O(RT)No.1700/18/G.Edn. dated 5.5.18 and G.O(RT)No.2009/18/G.Edn dated 30.5.18 again renamed as D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education). The candidates who have possessed D.Ed/D.El.Ed qualification shall also be considered for the selection. (3) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption: Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the respective subjects and M.Ed in any subject are exempted from acquiring TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016 and G.O(P)No.15/2020/G.Edn Dated 09.10.2020). Note:- (I) M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. (ii) Candidates who have not studied the Regional Language Malayalam either under Part-I or Part-II or as medium of instruction for SSLC will not be eligible for appointment to the post.[G.O(RT) No. 534/2002/G.Edn dated 19.03.2002, G.O(MS) No.44/75/G.Edn. Dated 29.01.1975.]. But Candidates who have studied the Regional Language Malayalam for Degree/Post Graduate Degree/Teachers Training as regular courses in Kerala are eligible for appointment to the post , even if they have not studied Malayalam either under Part I or part II or as medium of instruction for Secondary or Higher Secondary level. [G.O(MS)No.67/2018/G.Edn dated 22.05.2018] (iii) If there is written (Descriptive/OMR) test the Question paper will be in malayalam. The candidates should answer the questions in Malayalam. In the case of OMR answer script, answers are to be marked as instructed. NB: KS & SSR part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable for selection to this post. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce relevant Government orders during verification to prove that the qualification claimed is equivalent to the prescribed qualification for the post.

(i) Conventional type applications will be summarily rejected. Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration to www.keralapsc.gov.in. (ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the community other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to such candidates. (iii) Separate Ranked list will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force for a period of three years from the date of publication of NCA Ranked Lists or until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the district whichever is earlier. (iv) Applicatons should not be submitted to more than one district in response to this notification. If applications are submitted contrary to the above direction ,and if he/she is selected , his/her name will be removed from the Ranked List and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. Candidates should submit the application for this post to the concerned District Office and should note the name of the District against the relevant column of the online application. (v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O. (MS)No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS)No.4/61/PD, dated 02.1.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (vi) If the community claim in the application differs from the community noted in SSLC, then such changes are to be published in the Gazette on or before the last date of the receipt of application and the same should be produced along with the Community Certificate/Non Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the Revenue Authorities at the time of One Time Verification or as and when required by the Commission.
