Direct Recruitment. (From candidates belonging to Ezhava/Billava/Thiyya Community only).

Age: 18-43 – Only candidates born between 02.01.1970 and 01.01.1995 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post Note:- For conditions regarding other age relaxation, please see para (2) of the General Conditions under Part II of this Notification, except Para 2 (I)

A degree or Postgraduate degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject conferred or recognised by the Universities in Kerala (Concerned subjects are specified in Note (ii) below) Note:- (i) Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education will be treated as equivalent to Degree for the above purpose. (ii) The applicants should have taken Botany or Zoology or Geology or Home Science or Micro biology as Main subjects for graduation or post graduation. (iii) Post title degree holders are not eligible to apply for the post of High School Assistant. (iv) Candidates applying for this post must have sufficient knowledge in Tamil, which will be tested at the time of interview. Question papers for written test/OMR test if any will be in Tamil. The candidates should answer the questions in Tamil (v) The disciplines in which Degree and B.Ed Degree were obtained should be mentioned in brackets in the application form. (vi) Those candidates who secured B.Ed/B.T. Degree from the Universities outside Kerala should note in the application form, the number and date of relevant orders declaring the said degree as equivalent to those prescribed for this selection. The copies of such order shall be produced before the commission when it is called for.

(i) Application must be submitted through the official website of the Commission after 'One Time Registration'. Candidates who have already registered can apply through their profile. (ii) Applications submitted by candidates other than those belonging to Ezhava/Billava/Thiyya Community will be summarily rejected. (iii) A Ranked list will be prepared for Idukki district in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following district. Name of District: Idukki, Date of Publication of Ranked List: 29.09.2010, Category No.: 230/08 (iv) Candidates belonging to Ezhava/Billava/Thiyya communities should submit application for the post to the District Officer Idukki where the vacancy is existing and should note the name of the District against the relevant column in online application. (v) The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O. (MS)No.154/71/PD, dated 27.5.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(Ms)No.4/61/PD, dated 2.1.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. Special Concessions regarding appointment and age limit: (i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O. (MS) No.50/70/PD. Dated 12.02.70 and G.O.(Ms)No 9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.1.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in base establishment are included under the term ‘Jawans’. Wives of Jawans should note in the application form that they are “wives of Jawans”. Such candidates should obtain proper certificate from the Commanding Officer stating the name, military rank and military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission [G.O. (MS) No.509/64/Edn. Dated 19.9.64, G.O.(Ms)No.614/65/Edn. Dated 9.11.65 and G.O. (Ms) No.243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.1966] (ii) Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the state who have rendered at least 5 years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit. They should produce proper certificate from the Headmaster of the School specifying the date of commencement of their service and the total service put in by them as and when required by the Commission. The candidate who claim exemption on this will be considered only against vacancies to be filed up by open competition on the basis of merit alone (G.O.(MS) No.315/62 Edn. Dated 14.05.1962) (iii) First class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as teachers [G.O. (M.S.) No.122/75/G.Edn. Dated 27.05.1975]. (iv) Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery Schools who are graduates and are otherwise qualified will be exempted from upper age limit [G.O.(MS) No. 185/70/Edn. Dated 18.04.1970 and G.O. (MS) No. 466/70/Edn. Dated 11.11.1970]. They should produce proper certificates from authorities concerned as and when required by the Commission Note: Candidates who claim concessions on the basis of para 2 of the general conditions should select ‘’ Are you eligible for age relaxation” as ‘’yes’’ on the online application and give details in the Space following. Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates. Upper age limit after allowing the relaxation as per rule shall not exceed 50 years of age (See para 2 of General Conditions) Mode of submitting applications: Candidates shall register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION ' system on the Official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.gov.in' for applying for the post. Candidates who have registered shall apply by logging in to their profile using their User- ID and password. Candidates shall click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification link for applying for a post. No application fee is required. Candidates can view and have a print-out of the details in the profile by clicking the link Registration Card, if required. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before applying for a post, candidates must ensure correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the User- ID for further communication with the Commission. Applications once submitted will be received as provisional and particulars shall not be deleted or altered after submission. Applications submitted not in accordance with the conditions of the notification will be summarily rejected. Documents to prove Qualification, experience, community, age etc. have to be produced as and when called for. If a written test/OMR test is conducted as a part of the selection admission tickets of eligible candidates will be made available in the website of Kerala Public Service Commission.
