18–36. Candidates born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. [Including the usual relaxations, the maximum upper age limit shall not exceed 50 years. For other conditions regarding age relaxation, please see Part II, Para 2 of the General Conditions]

(1) Pass in Plus Two or equivalent. (2) Lower Grade Certificate in English Typewriting (K.G.T.E) and Computer Word Processing or equivalent qualification. Note: - Those who have acquired K.G.T.E Typewriting (English) Lower prior to January 2002 should possess a separate certificate in Computer Word Processing or equivalent qualification before the last date for receipt of application. (3) Lower Grade Certificate in Malayalam Typewriting (K.G.T.E) or equivalent. (4) Lower Grade Certificate in English Shorthand (K.G.T.E) or equivalent qualification. (5) Lower Grade Certificate in Malayalam Shorthand (K.G.T.E) or equivalent qualification. [G.O.(Ms) No.21/2011/P&ARD dated 01.07.2011]. (Certificates from the Typewriting Institutes-run by I.M.C are not accepted). Note: - (a) Certificate in Computer Word Processing issued by courses conducted by Central-State Government Departments, Agencies, Societies, Universities having not less than 3 months duration will be considered as equivalent to K.G.T.E Computer Word Processing. (b) Certificates in Typewriting obtained from Government alone will be accepted. (c) Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce Government Orders along with OTR application to prove that it is equivalent, at the time of certificate verification, then only it will be treated as equivalent qualification. (d) All the qualifications for the post shall be acquired before the last date of receipt of applications. (e) KS&SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable for this selection.

i) A Ranked List will be prepared in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall cease to be in force after one year from the date on which it was brought into force or after three years, whichever is earlier... ii) The selection pursuant to this notification will be made on a District-wise basis subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O. (P) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971... iii) Candidates advised from the Ranked List to Headquarters Office will be eligible for transfer to other districts as per the provisions contained in G.O. (P) No.442/80/GAD dated 26.09.1980... iv) Candidates shall submit applications by online to the district specified above and shall note the name of the district against the relevant column in the application. v) As per G.O.(P) No. 1/13/SJD dated 03.01.2013, 3% of vacancies are reserved for Differently Abled candidates... vi) Caste noted in the SSLC Book shall be treated as authentic...
