22-48; Candidates born between 02.01.1975 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. (Including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions). Note: For those who have converted to Christianity from Scheduled Castes after attaining adulthood and their children, the upper age limit is 50 years. They should be born between 02.01.1973 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included). (Including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions). I. MD/DNB in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation OR MS/MD/DNB with Diploma in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) in General Medicine, General Surgery, or Orthopaedics. Additionally, three years of special training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in a recognized institution with interest in the service. II. One year Senior Residency in the concerned subject in an NMC recognized Medical College after Post Graduate degree. III. Permanent Registration with Kerala State Medical Council (TCMC) or Council of Modern Medicine.

Note: (a) KS & SSR Part-II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. (b) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, qualifications declared as equivalent by the Government of Kerala through executive orders or standing orders, and higher qualifications which have the prescribed qualifications as basic qualifications, will be accepted. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications should be produced when required by the Commission. (c) Candidates appointed to this post must undergo compulsory service in the Defence Services or in the Defence related jobs in India or abroad for a period of four years within the first ten years (including training period) of their service. This compulsory defence service is not applicable to those who have completed 45 years of age and those belonging to the differently-abled category. (d) Candidates must ensure that the caste/community claimed in the application is the same as recorded in the SSLC book. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate/Caste Certificate along with a Gazette notification regarding the change in caste must be produced at the time of certificate verification. (e) Candidates must read the General Conditions in Part II of the Gazette notification before submitting the application. Applications submitted against the General Conditions will be rejected. (f) If any false information regarding education, experience, etc., is provided, the candidate will be liable for action as per Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure Rule 22, including debarment from applying for any post, cancellation of candidature, or dismissal from service if already appointed.
