20-46. Candidates should be born between 02/01/1975 and 01/01/2001 (both dates included). Usual age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST and Other Backward Communities, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall not exceed 50 years. For other age relaxation conditions, refer to Part II, Paragraph 2 of the General Conditions.

1. Post Graduate Degree in the concerned subject from any University in Kerala or any other University recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala. 2. 'A' Class Permanent Registration from the Travancore-Cochin Medical Council (Council of Indigenous Medicine).

Note 1: Post Graduate Degree in the concerned subject is mandatory for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor. Note 2: In the absence of Post Graduate Degree holders in the concerned subject, Post Graduate Degree recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine from time to time will be accepted. Note 3: Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce Government orders proving the equivalency at the time of verification. Note 4: Candidates must produce the Gazette notification regarding the change of name/caste along with the Non-Creamy Layer/Caste Certificate at the time of verification if the name/caste claimed in the application differs from the SSLC book. Note 5: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Probation: Every person appointed to this post shall be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining duty.
