20 – 46. Only candidates born between 02.01.1975 and 01.01.2001 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates. The concession in upper age limits are available subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (Fifty) years. (For conditions regarding age relaxation please see Part II, Para 2 of the General Conditions)

1. A post graduate Degree in Ayurveda in the concerned subject from any of the Universities in Kerala or from any other Universities recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala. 2. Permanent 'A' class Registration with Travancore-Cochin Medical Council (Council of indigenous Medicine)

Note 1: The above vacancies are now in existence. The Ranked list published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the above vacancies and also against the vacancies reported to the Commission during the period of the currency of the list. Note 2: Post-graduate Degree in the concerned subject has been made compulsory for appointment by direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor. Note 3: If post-graduate holders of the subject is not available, post-graduate qualification prescribed by Central Council of Indian Medicine shall be admissible for that subject from time to time. Note 4: Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of the verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. Note 5: In the case of difference in original Caste/Community claimed in the application and that entered in S.S.L.C book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette notification in this regard, along with Non Creamy Layer Certificate/Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification. Note 6: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Probation: Every person appointed to this post shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
