18-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1978 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. [including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions]. Note: For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para 2 of the general conditions under Part II of this Notification [except para 2(i)].

(1) A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. OR A pass in Pre-degree examination conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala or any examination recognized by any such Universities in Kerala as equivalent to Pre-degree examination. OR A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala or any other Examinations recognized by Government as equivalent thereto. (2) A pass in TTC (Tamil) Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. (3) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala Exemption:- Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/ M.Phil/Ph.D in the respective subjects / M.Ed in any subject are exempted from acquiring TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016 and G.O(P)No.15/2020/G.Edn Dated 09.10.2020).

(i) Conventional type applications will be summarily rejected. Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration to www.keralapsc.gov.in. (ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the community other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to such candidates. (iii) A Ranked list will be prepared only for Palakkad district in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force for a period of three years from the date of publication of Ranked List or until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the district whichever is earlier. (iv) Candidates shall submit application for the post to Palakkad district only where the vacancy is existing and note the name of that district against the relevant column of the application. (v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O. (MS)No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. (vi) If the community claim in the application differs from the community noted in SSLC, then such changes are to be published in the Gazette on or before the last date of the receipt of application and the same should be produced along with the Community Certificate/Non Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the Revenue Authorities at the time of One Time Verification or as and when required by the Commission. (vii) M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala (viii) In the absence of candidates with TTC (Tamil) of Kerala, candidates with TTC (Tamil) of Madras or candidates with Diploma in Teacher Education (Regular) of Tamil Nadu Government shall be considered for appointment. (ix) B.Ed will not be accepted in lieu of TTC (Tamil) qualification. (x) Question paper for the written test, if any will be in Tamil. The candidate should answer the questions in Tamil. (xi) KS & SSR part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable for selection to this post. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce relevant Government orders during verification to prove that the qualification claimed is equivalent to the prescribed qualification for the post. (xii) SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT: Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970 and G.O.(MS) No. 9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.01.1978 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers.
