Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe community only. In the absence of candidates from Scheduled Tribe community, candidates from Scheduled Caste community will be considered.)
Age Limit
18-45. Candidates born between 02.01.1976 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. (Relaxations as per General Conditions).
Qualifications
1. A Degree in Mathematics or Statistics with at least 50% marks and B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject acquired through a University in Kerala or recognized as equivalent thereto. 2. Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption: Candidates who have acquired CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the concerned subject and M.Ed in any subject are exempted from acquiring TET qualification (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.2016, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016, G.O.(P) No:15/2020/G.Edn dated 09.10.2020).
Notes
i) M.Phil in the concerned subject should be from a University in Kerala or recognized as equivalent thereto. ii) Candidates possessing Post Graduate Degree in Mathematics/Statistics and B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject are also eligible to apply. iii) Rural Service Diploma of the National Council for Rural Higher Education is considered equivalent to a degree. iv) Candidates possessing B.Sc Ed (Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics stream) from Regional Institute of Education, Mysore are eligible to apply (GO (P) No 117/13/G Edn dtd 30.3.2013). v) The subject studied as optional for Degree/Post Graduate Degree and the subject in which B.Ed/BT was obtained should be mentioned in the application. vi) If a written/OMR test is conducted, the question paper will be in Malayalam. Answers must be written in Malayalam. vii) Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the Government Order proving equivalency at the time of verification. NB: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable.
