18-36. Candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation will be given to SC/ST and other backward communities.
Qualifications
1. SSLC or equivalent qualification.
2. Must possess physical fitness.
Note (i): Physical fitness must be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon in Government Service.
Note (ii): Only male candidates are eligible to apply for this post.
Note (iii): KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a)(ii) is applicable for this post.
Note (iv): Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce Government Order proving the equivalency at the time of OTR verification or as and when required by the Commission.
Note (v): Differently abled candidates are not eligible to apply for this post.
Notes
Note (i): Candidates must submit applications online through the Commission's website. Applications submitted otherwise will be summarily rejected.
Note (ii): A ranked list will be prepared for Thiruvananthapuram district. The list will be in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum of three years. If no appointment is made from the list within three years, the duration can be extended for one more year or until a candidate is selected, whichever is earlier.
Note (iii): Candidates must apply for Thiruvananthapuram district only and specify the district name in the application.
Note (iv): Selection is district-wise as per Government Order (MS) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.71. Candidates appointed cannot be transferred to another district for five years from the date of commencement of service.
Note (v): Candidates claiming a caste/community different from that recorded in their SSLC book must produce a Gazette notification along with the caste/non-creamy layer certificate when required by the Commission.
Probation: Candidates appointed to this post shall be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining.
Application Instructions: Candidates must register via 'One Time Registration' on www.keralapsc.gov.in. Uploaded photo must be taken after 31/12/2011 with the name and date of taking the photo clearly marked. The photo is valid for 10 years. No application fee. Candidates must keep a soft copy/print out of the application. Aadhaar card should be provided as identity proof in the profile.
Examination: If a written/OMR/online test is conducted, candidates must submit confirmation via their profile to get the admission ticket. Failure to submit confirmation will lead to rejection of the application. KPSC Rules of Procedure Rule 22 will be applied against candidates who submit false claims or fail to appear for the exam after confirming.
