Direct Recruitment (Recruitment from candidates belonging to reservation groups only mentioned in this notification. But applications of ST candidates will be considered in the absence of SC candidates.

22-40 Only candidates born between 02.01.1973 and 01.01.1991 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. The upperage limit prescribed shall be raised by 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST community, and by 3 years in the case of candidates belonging to any of the OBC. 1. Master’s degree in the subject concerned with at least 55% marks or its equivalent and good academic record . 2. Must have passed a Comprehensive Test in the subject concerned specifically conducted for the purpose by UGC or any agency duly constituted by the state government in this behalf. When qualifications are being equal preference shall be given to candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam. Note: (1) For SC/ST candidates minimum 50% marks for Masters degree shall be sufficient (G.O (MS) No: 2/07/H.Edn Dated 04.01.2007) (2) For PhD holders who have passed Master's Degree prior to 19.09.1991, 50% marks for Master's degree shall be sufficient (G.O (MS) No. 2/07/H.Edn Dated 04.01.2007) (3) Candidates who have obtained Ph.D Degree in the subject concerned or have passed M.Phil Degree in the subject concerned by 31/12/1993 are exempted from passing the NET examination (G.O (MS) No: 86/07/H.Edn dated 19.06.2007) (G.O (P) No: 123/02/H.Edn dated 17.09.2002) (4) For recruitment to various posts under these rules, Degree awarded by the Universities recognized by UGC alone shall be considered.

Applications of candidates belonging to other than the communities mentioned in this notification will be summarily rejected. Individual rejection memo will not be sent to them.
