22-40. Candidates born between 02/01/1981 and 01/01/1999 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation is applicable to SC/ST and other backward communities.
Qualifications
1.) MCA or B.Tech degree in Computer Science from a University recognized by the UGC or from a National Institute established by the Government of India or from an Institute established by the Government of Kerala. OR 2.) B.Tech/PGDCA in any subject from a University recognized by the UGC or from a National Institute established by the Government of India or from an Institute established by the Government of Kerala. OR 3.) M.Sc in Computer Science from a University recognized by the UGC or from a National Institute established by the Government of India or from an Institute established by the Government of Kerala.
Notes
i) The vacancy is for the General Category. Future vacancies will be divided in 1:1 ratio between General Category and Society Category. The first turn goes to the General Category. Society category vacancies will be notified separately as Part II. Reservation rules as per KCS Rules 1958 (Rules 14-17) will be followed. ii) The rank list will be valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. If a new rank list is published after one year, the current list will cease to exist. iii) Selection is on a state-wide basis. iv) As per KCS Rule 184, candidates appointed will be on probation for two years within a continuous service period of three years. Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II, KS&SSR is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must produce Government orders proving the equivalency at the time of certificate verification. In case of discrepancies in SSLC book caste entries, candidates must produce relevant caste/non-creamy layer certificates and gazette notifications at the time of verification.
