18-36. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Other backward communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation.

(1) A degree from a recognized University. (Qualifications must be obtained from a University recognized by UGC or established by the Government of India or the Government of Kerala.) Note:- Bachelor's degree and Master's degree are acceptable. (2) Certificate proving successful completion of Advanced Pump Products Technology course recognized by Kerala Khadi and Village Industries Commission.

i) The Ranked list prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new Ranked list is published after the expiry of the minimum period of one year. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of the list. ii) The Kerala Public Service Commission reserves the right to cancel any advice for appointment to the above post if it is subsequently found that such advice was made under some mistake. On such cancellation the appointing authority shall terminate the service of the candidate. However, the termination of service shall be within the period of probation or 240 days from the date of joining duty, whichever is earlier. Note: Candidates who have worked as provisional employees in the said institution and were within the age limit at the time of their initial provisional appointment will be given relaxation in the upper age limit to the extent of their provisional service. However, this benefit is limited to a maximum of five years. This benefit will not be available for reappointment in the same institution. Candidates with provisional service must obtain a certificate showing the length of their service and produce it when required by the Commission. It should be specifically mentioned in the certificate that the candidate was not a regular employee. (For other rules regarding age relaxation, see Part 2 of the General Conditions of this notification, paragraphs 2(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), (vi), (vii), (xii) & (xiv).) Note: (1) Rule 10(a) ii of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. (2) "In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, the qualifications recognized by the Government as equivalent to the prescribed educational qualifications or higher qualifications than the prescribed qualifications shall be accepted. The Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications must be produced when required by the Commission." Probation: The rules regarding probation in the Kerala Khadi and Village Industries Board are applicable. (b) Appointment to the above institution is subject to the rules and regulations of the institution from time to time.
