Age Limit
22 - 40. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included). Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. Subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (fifty) years. (For other conditions regarding age relaxation, see Part II of the General Conditions).
Qualifications
1) Masters Degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks or its equivalent and good academic record. 2) Must have passed a Comprehensive Test in the concerned subject specifically conducted for the purpose by UGC or any agency duly constituted by the State Government in this behalf. When qualifications are equal, preference shall be given to candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam. Note: i) Candidates who have acquired Ph.D Degree in the concerned subject are exempted from the requirement of passing the NET (UGC) (G.O. (P) No.86/07/H.Edn dated 19.06.2007). ii) For SC/ST and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and Differently Abled candidates, 50% marks at Masters Degree level is sufficient (G.O. (Ms) No. 2/07/H.Edn dated 04.01.2007 & G.O. (P) No. 10/2018/H.Edn dated 13/04/2018). iii) Only degrees recognized by Universities recognized by the UGC will be considered. iv) Candidates should produce the Gazette Notification regarding the change of name if any, at the time of certificate verification if the name in the SSLC book differs from the name in the application. v) Candidates who claim equivalent qualifications instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification. vi) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable.
Notes
The vacancies reported are currently existing. The Ranked list prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new Ranked list is published after the expiry of the minimum period of one year. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies reported to the Commission during the pendency of the list. 3% of vacancies are reserved for Differently Abled candidates (Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy, Blindness/Low Vision, Hearing Impairment) as per G.O.(P)No.61/12/SWD dated 17.10.2012. Application Submission: - Candidates must register as per 'One Time Registration' at www.keralapsc.gov.in. - Candidates who have registered can apply by logging in to their profile using their User ID and Password. - No application fee. - Candidates must take a printout of the application for future use. - Candidates must submit the printout of the application if required by the Commission. - Candidates must provide confirmation for the examination through their One Time Registration profile if an OMR/Online test is conducted. - Candidates who fail to provide confirmation will have their applications rejected. - Candidates with Aadhar card must provide it as an identity document in their profile. - Any false claim regarding qualification, experience, etc., will lead to disciplinary action as per KPSC Rules of Procedure, Rule 22.
