Age Limit
22 - 40. Only candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. In no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (fifty) years. (For other conditions regarding age relaxation, please see Part II of the General Conditions).
Qualifications
1). Masters Degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks or its equivalent and good academic record. 2). Must have passed a Comprehensive Test in the concerned subject specifically conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any agency duly constituted by the State Government in this behalf. When qualifications are equal, preference shall be given to those candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam. Note: i) Candidates who have acquired Ph.D Degree in the concerned subject are exempted from the requirement of passing the NET (G.O. (P) No.86/07/H.Edn dated 19.06.2007). ii) For Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward (Non-Creamy Layer), Differently Abled candidates, 50% marks at Masters Degree level is sufficient. (G.O. (Ms) No. 2/07/H.Edn dated 04.01.2007 & G.O. (P) No. 10/2018/H.Edn dated 13/04/2018). iii) Only those degrees which are recognized by the Universities mentioned in the UGC guidelines will be considered. iv) Candidates should produce the Non-Creamy Layer Certificate/Caste Certificate along with the Gazette Notification regarding change of name if any, at the time of certificate verification if their caste/community claimed in the application differs from that entered in the SSLC book. v) Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications should produce Government orders proving the equivalency at the time of verification, otherwise such qualifications will not be considered. vi) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable.
Notes
The vacancies reported are currently existing. The Ranked list prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new ranked list is published after the expiry of the minimum period of one year. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of the list. Note: 3% of the vacancies are reserved for Differently Abled candidates (Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy, Blindness/Low Vision, Hearing Impairment) as per G.O.(P)No.61/12/SWD dated 17.10.2012. Candidates must register as per 'One Time Registration' on the official website of the Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in. Candidates who have already registered can apply by logging in to their profile using their User-ID and Password. Candidates must ensure that the photo uploaded is taken after 31.12.2011. The name of the candidate and the date of taking the photograph should be printed legibly at the bottom of the photograph. The photograph once uploaded will be valid for 10 years from the date of upload. No application fee is required. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before applying for the post, candidates must ensure that the information in their profile is correct. All communications from the Commission regarding the application should be quoted with the User ID. Applications once submitted will be treated as provisional and cannot be altered or deleted. Candidates should take a printout of the application for future use. Candidates must produce the printout of the application during correspondence with the Commission. If any application is found to be against the notification conditions, it will be rejected summarily. Original documents to prove educational qualification, experience, caste, age, etc., should be produced as and when required by the Commission. (b) If a Written/OMR/Online Test is conducted as part of this selection, candidates must submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration profile. Only those who submit confirmation within the stipulated period will be issued Admission Tickets. The dates for confirmation and downloading of Admission Tickets will be published in the Examination Calendar. Information regarding this will be sent to the candidates' profile and registered mobile number. (c) Candidates who make false claims about qualifications, experience, etc., and submit confirmation for the exam but do not appear for it, will be subject to disciplinary action as per KPSC Rules of Procedure, Rule 22. (d) Candidates having Aadhar card should provide it as an identity document in their profile.
