1) A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. OR A Pass in Pre-Degree Examination conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala or any Examinations recognized by any such universities in Kerala as equivalent to Pre-Degree Examination. OR A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala or any other Examinations recognized by Government as equivalent thereto. AND 2) A pass in T.T.C (Kannada) Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 3) 5 years service as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Peon in the General Education Dept as on the date of application [G.O (MS) No. 8/09/G.Edn dtd 20/1/09].

(i) In the absence of suitable candidates, the vacancies set apart for by Transfer recruitment shall be filled by the candidates from the ranked list prepared for direct recruitment. (ii) The applicant should be an approved probationer/full member of the Kerala General Education subordinate services as on the date of application. (iii) Separate Ranked list will be prepared for Kasaragod district in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the conditions that the said lists will continue to be in force till the publication of new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies if any, reported during the currency of the list. In case no candidate is advised from the ranked list till the expiry of the period of three years the duration of the ranked list shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier. (iv) Candidates should submit applications for this post to the Kasaragod District only and should note the name of that District in the relevant column of the online application. (v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in GO(MS) No.154/71/PD dated, 27.5.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue district from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in GO(MS) No. 4/61/PD dated, 2.1.1961. But as per the G.O.(P)No.12/96/P&ARD dated, 16.03.1996 the condition of 5 years service is not applicable for transfer to the districts of Idukki, Wayanad & Kasaragod. This concession will be available only for getting transfer to these districts, but not for getting transfer out of these districts. And this concession will be granted only once in the career of Government servant. Candidates already in Government service holding the same post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (iv) The rules regarding the reservation of appointment contemplated in Article 14 to 17 in part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Services Rules are not applicable to recruitment by transfer. Special Note:- (i) In the absence of candidates with TTC (Kannada) of Kerala, candidates with TCH (Mysore) shall be considered for appointment. (ii) B.Ed qualification will not be considered in lieu of TTC. (iii) Question papers for the Written Test if any, will be in Kannada. The candidate should answer the questions in Kannada. Note : Rule 10 (a) ii of part II of KS&SSR is applicable.
