Direct Recruitment (For Category Number 1 - Special Recruitment - Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe, For Category Number 2 to 9 - Special Recruitment - Scheduled Tribe only)

20-45; Candidates born between 02.01.1975 and 01.01.2000 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. (Including the relaxation as per para 2 (i) of the General Conditions). Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But in any case the maximum age limit shall not exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

Group I – For Sl. Nos. 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 1. Zoology 4. Physics 5. Chemistry 6. Mathematics 7. Geography I) Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto. II) (1) B.Ed. in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. (2) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed. Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. (3) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree specified in items (1) and (2) above, B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. OR M.Sc.Ed. in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by the National Council for Education Research and Training (NCERT). III) Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the Government of Kerala. Note:- M.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala is exempted from B.Ed. qualification. Group II – For Sl. Nos. 2 & 3 2. English 3. Malayalam I) Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. II) (1) B.Ed. in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. (2) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed. Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. (3) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree specified in items (1) and (2) above, B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. III) Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the Government of Kerala. Note :- 1) In the absence of B.Ed. Degree holders, candidates who have passed the Master's Degree with not less than 45% marks and a pass in SET will be considered. Ph.D/M.Phil degree holders as well as Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)/NET holders will be given preference. Such candidates shall acquire B.Ed. Degree at their own expense within five years from the date of joining service. 2) Persons who have passed Language Teacher Training Course (LTTC) are exempted from B.Ed. qualification. 3) M.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject recognized by any University in Kerala is exempted from B.Ed. qualification. Group III – For Sl. No. 8 8. History I) Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. II) (1) B.Ed. in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. (2) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed. Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. (3) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree specified in items (1) and (2) above, B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. III) Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the Government of Kerala. Note:- M.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala is exempted from B.Ed. qualification. Group IV – For Sl. No. 9 9. Statistics I) Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. II) (1) B.Ed. in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. (2) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed. Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. (3) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree specified in items (1) and (2) above, B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. III. Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the Government of Kerala. Concessions applicable to posts 1-9: (1) Persons who have passed the State Level Eligibility Test for College Lectureship conducted by Government of Kerala are exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test (SET) for Higher Secondary School Teacher. (2) National Eligibility Test/Junior Research Fellowship holders are exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test (SET). (3) Ph.D/M.Ed/M.Phil holders are exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test. M.Phil should be in the concerned subject awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognized as equivalent thereto. (4) Persons who have completed 10 years of approved teaching experience at the High School level in the General Education Department are exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test. Note: Higher Secondary School Teacher means Full Time Higher Secondary School Teacher. Note: KS&SSR part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable for all posts from Sl. No. 01 to 09.
