20-45 Only Candidates born between 02.01.1975 and 01.01.2000 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. No other age relaxation will be allowed. Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

Group I (Sl. 1, 4, 5, 6, 7) (1) Zoology (4) Physics (5) Chemistry (6) Mathematics (7) Geography (I) Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala. (II)(1) B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. (2) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in concerned subject, B.Ed. degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. (3) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified in item (1) and (2) above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. OR M.Sc.Ed in the concerned subject with not less than 45 percentage of mark from any of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by National Council for Education Research & Training (NCERT) III Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the State Government. Note (1)- Persons who have acquired M.Ed in the subject concerned recognized by any university in kerala are exempted from B.Ed qualification. Group II (Sl. No. 2 & 3) 2) English 3) Malayalam (i) Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by a University in Kerala. (ii)(1) B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. (2) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in concerned subject, B.Ed. degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. (3) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified in item (1) and (2) above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. iii) Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the State Government. Note (1)- In the absence of B.Ed. Degree holders, candidates having Master's Degree and who have passed State Eligibility Test will be considered. Preference will be given to Ph.D degree or M.Phil Degree or qualified at Junior Research Fellowship/National Eligibility Test. (NET) The teachers appointed under this provision will have to acquire B.Ed. Degree at their own expense within five years from the date of entry in service. (2) Those who have passed Language Teacher Training Course (LTTC) are exempted from acquiring B.Ed. qualification. (3) Persons who have acquired M.Ed in the subject concerned recognized by any university in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed qualification. Group III (Sl. No. 8) (8) History (I) Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by a University in Kerala. (II)(1) B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. (2) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in concerned subject, B.Ed. degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. (3) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified in item (1) and (2) above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. III) Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) Test for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the State Government. Note:- Persons who have acquired M.Ed in the subject concerned recognized by any university in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed qualification. Group IV (Sl. No. 9) (9) Statistics (I) Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by a University in Kerala. (II)(1) B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala. (2) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in concerned subject, B.Ed. degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. (3) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified in item (1) and (2) above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. III Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the Agency authorized by the State Government. Note (1)- In the absence of B.Ed. Degree holders, candidates having Master's Degree with not less than 45% of marks and who have passed the State Eligibility Test will be considered. Preference will be given to those who have acquired Ph.D/M.Phil Degree or qualified at Junior Research Fellowship/National Eligibility Test (NET). The teachers appointed under this provision will have to acquire B.Ed. at their own expense within five years from the date of entry in service. (2) Persons who have acquired M.Ed in the subject concerned recognized by any university in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed qualification. Exemptions for All Posts (Sl. Nos. 1 to 9) 1) Those persons who have passed the State Level Eligibility Test for the post of College Lecturers conducted by Government of Kerala are exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test for Higher Secondary School Teacher. 2) Those persons who have passed the National Eligibility Test/Junior Research Fellowship shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test. 3) Persons with Ph.D./M.Phil/M.Ed. Degree shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test provided the M.Phil. in the concerned subject should be one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. 4) The teachers who have completed 10 (Ten) years of approved teaching service at the High School level in the General Education Subordinate Service shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility test for Higher Secondary School Teacher. Note: Higher Secondary School Teacher means Full-Time post of Higher Secondary School Teacher.

Note:- The above Vacancies are now in existence. The Ranked lists of selected candidates published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year is published. Recruitment will be made for the above vacancies and also for the vacancies reported for special recruitment for SC/ST & ST only during pendency of the list. Absence of Scheduled Tribe candidates in these lists that fresh notification for Scheduled Tribes for vacancies reserved exclusively for them will issued. Note:- Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates (for Sl.No.01) and Scheduled Tribe candidates only (Sl.No 2-9) will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued. Note : 1. Rule 10(a)(ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable to all the posts Sl No.01 to 09 2. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. 3. If the caste of candidates is wrongly mentioned in their SSLC book, they should claim their original caste in their applications and should produce Community Certificate issued from concerned revenue authority and the Gazette Notification for the same at the time of certificate verification. 4. Appointed candidate will be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
