Recruitment By Transfer from Clerk/ Typist/ Attender/ Office Attendant/ Full Time Menial in the General Education Department.

Upper Age limit not applicable to this post.

I A pass in Higher Secondary Examination with Arabic as an optional subject or as second language; OR A pass in Afzal-Al-Ulama Preliminary examination; OR A pass in the Pre Degree examination with Arabic as an optional subject; OR A pass in the SSLC examination from Arabic Oriental School or from academic school with Arabic as First Language conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala and a pass in Higher Secondary examination; OR A pass in Higher Secondary examination and a pass in Arabic Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala; OR A pass in Higher Secondary Examination and Degree/ Post Graduate Degree in Arabic language conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala: AND A pass in the 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (Arabic), in short D.El.Ed (Arabic), examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. II A degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala; OR A title of Oriental learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala; OR A Pass in Pre-degree with Part III Arabic (Special Optional) of the Calicut University; OR A pass in Plus two, Part III, Arabic (optional) course conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala; OR A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala with Arabic under Part I and Part II First Language; OR A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent and any one of the following qualifications. (i) A Pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Higher) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. (ii) A Pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Lower) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. (iii) A Pass in Arabic Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. (iv) A Pass in Arabic Entrance Examination of the Kerala and Calicut Universities. III Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test-IV (K-TET-IV) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. [Generally applicable for those who apply under 7(I) and 7(II) above] IV 5 Years service as Clerk/ Typist/ Attender/ Office Attendant/ Full Time Menial in the General Education Department as on the date of application.

(i) The applicant should be an Approved Probationer/ Full Member of the Kerala General Education Department as on the date of application. (ii) Candidates shall submit application for the post to Kannur district where the vacancy is existing and shall note the name of that district against the relevant column in the online application. (iii) A Ranked list will be prepared for Kannur district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancy and also against the vacancies, if any, reported during the currency of the list. (iv) In the absence of suitable candidates, the vacancies notified for By Transfer recruitment shall be filled up by the candidates from the Ranked List prepared for Direct Recruitment. (v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(Ms).No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/ she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(Ms).No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. But as per the G.O.(P).No.12/96/P&ARD dated 16.3.1996 the conditions of 5 years Service is not applicable for transfer to the districts Idukki, Wayanad and Kasaragod. The concession will be available only for getting transfer to these districts but not for getting transfer out of these districts. And these concession will be granted only once in the career of a Government Servant. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (vi) The rules regarding the reservation of appointment contemplated in Rules 14 to 17 in Part II of the KS & SSR are not applicable to recruitment by transfer. (vii) KS & SSR Part I, Rule 2 (13) is applicable for this post.
