18- 45 Only Candidates born between 02.01.1969 and 01.01.1996 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. No other age relaxation will be allowed. Note: In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

(1) A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent OR A pass in Pre-Degree Examination conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala or any Examination recognised by any such Universities as equivalent to the Pre-degree Examinations OR A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by Board of Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or any other examination recognised by Government as equivalent thereto AND (2) A pass in T.T.C Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala

Special Note: 1) B.Ed Degree is not acceptable as an alternative qualification for T.T.C 2) Candidates who have not studied the Regional Language Malayalam either under Part I or Part II or as a medium of instruction of S.S.L.C will not be eligible for appointment to the post. Soldiers in active service and those working in the Base Establishments are included under the term of 'Jawans'.
