Qualifications
(1) A pass in Higher Secondary Examination with Sanskrit as an optional subject or as second language. OR A pass in the SSLC examination with Sanskrit as First Language from Oriental school or academic school and a pass in Higher Secondary examination. OR A pass in Prak Sastri Examination conducted by the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Ministry of Education and Culture, New Delhi or its equivalent. OR A pass in Higher Secondary Examination and a pass in Sanskrit Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or a pass in Pre Degree/Pre University examination with Sanskrit as an optional subject conferred or recognized by Universities in Kerala. OR A pass in Pre Degree/Pre University examination from the Sanskrit Colleges affiliated to the Universities in Kerala. OR A pass in Higher Secondary Examination and Degree/Post Graduate Degree in Sanskrit conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. AND A pass in the 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (Sanskrit), in short D.El.Ed (Sanskrit) examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR A Degree in Sanskrit and B.Ed in Sanskrit conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. Note:- Qualifications noted below as Item 2 are applicable to those candidates who have acquired those qualifications or gained admission to the respective (Item-2) qualifying courses on or before 07.03.2019. Those who have gained admission to Item-2 qualifying courses from 08.03.2019 to 09.06.2024 will be considered only if they possess D.El.Ed qualification in Sanskrit as on the last date of receipt of application. (2) A Degree in Sanskrit conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala OR A title of Oriental learning in Sanskrit awarded or recognized by any one of the Universities in Kerala. OR Oriental School leaving certificate (Sanskrit) issued by the Government of Kerala. OR A Pass in the preliminary examination in Sanskrit conducted by any one of the Universities in Kerala. OR A Pass in the Pre-University or Pre-Degree Examination from the Sanskrit Colleges affiliated to the Universities in Kerala. OR A Pass in Sanskrit Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR A Pass in the Pre-Degree Examination with Sanskrit (Sahitya) and Sanskrit (Sastra) as Optional subjects conducted by the Arts or Science Colleges affiliated to the Universities in Kerala. OR A pass in plus 2 course conducted by the Kerala Higher Secondary Directorate with Sanskrit (Sahitya), Sanskrit (Sasthra), History and Economics as combination. (GO(MS)No.155/2007/G.Edn dated 17.08.2007). (3) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test-IV (K-TET-IV) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. (Generally applicable for candidates who apply under 7(1) and 7(2) above)
Notes
i) Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration on www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected. ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than Latin Catholic/ Anglo Indian will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued. iii) A Ranked List will be prepared for Pathanamthitta district in pursuance of this notification. NCA Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, which remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post on the following date. Name of District: Pathanamthitta, Date of publication of Ranked List: 10.01.2024, Category No.: 614/2021 iv) Candidates shall submit application for the post to Pathanamthitta district where the vacancy is existing and shall note the name of that district against the relevant column in the online application. v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O (Ms) No. 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS) No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. But as per the G.O.(P)No.12/96 P&ARD dated 16.3.1996 the conditions of 5 years Service is not applicable for transfer to the districts Idukki, Wayanad and Kasaragod. The concession will be available only for getting transfer to these districts but not for getting transfer out of these districts. And these concession will be granted only once in the career of a Govt. Servant. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. Exemption: (i) Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the respective subjects or M.Ed are exempted from acquiring KTET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016). (ii) As per G.O.(P) No.6/2024/GEDN dtd 01.02.2024 CTET(Primary stage & Elementary stage) will not be considered against KTET Category III and IV. (iii) Candidates who have acquired KTET Category III are exempted from acquiring KTET Category IV [G.O.(Ms)No.109/22/GEDN dated 24.06.2022] 1. As per GO(P) No. 15/2020/G.Edn dated 09.10.2020, M.Ed which is prescribed as a substitute qualification for KTET need not be subject specific. 2. M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. 3. Candidates should possess the minimum general educational qualification for the post viz, A pass in SSLC examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. (G.O (MS) No. 232/2009/G.Edn. Dated 30.11.2009.) (This clause is applicable only for those apply with qualifications specified as 7(2)). 4. Rule 10 a(ii) of Part II KS&SSR will be applicable for this post. Note:- In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission. 8. Special concessions regarding Appointment and age limit :- (i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970 and G.O.(MS) No. 9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.01.1978 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base Establishment are included under the term 'Jawans'. Wives of Jawans should select “ Are you entitled to any priority” as yes on the online application and give the details in the space following. Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer Commanding stating the name, military rank and military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O (MS) No. 509/64/Edn. Dated 19.09.1964, G.O.(MS) No. 614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.1965 and G.O (MS) No. 243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.1966). (ii) First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O (MS) No. 122/75/G.Edn. Dated 27.05.1975 and GO(Ms) No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.1970). Note:- The candidates who are eligible for the above preferences or concessions in upper age limit or concessions by virtue of any of the reason mentioned in Para 2 of the General Condition should claim the same through the “weightage and preferences” link provided in their One Time Registration Profile and give details in the space provided. The applications of candidates who are eligible for concession in upper age limit and who do not claim the same, are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates. Upper age limit after allowing the relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years of age (see para 2 of General Conditions). 12. Special Instructions to Candidates: i) In the case of difference in Caste/ Community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette Notification in this regard, along with Non-Creamy Layer Certificate/ Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification. ii) Candidates are required to acquaint themselves with the instructions given in the notification as Part II, General Conditions before submitting application for the post. Applications which are not submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down in the General Conditions are liable to be rejected. iii) Appropriate disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure, 1976 shall be initiated against those candidates who submit applications with bogus claims of qualification regarding education, experience etc and are liable to be disqualified for being considered for a particular post or debarment from applying to the Commission either permanently or for any period or the invalidation of their answer scripts or products in a written/practical test or the initiation of criminal or other proceedings against them or their removal or dismissal from office or the ordering of any other disciplinary action against them if they have already been appointed, or any one or more of the above. iv) If a Written Test/OMR/Online Examination is conducted as a part of this selection, candidates shall submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their 'One Time Registration' Profile. Such candidates alone can generate and download the Admission Ticket in the last 15 days till the date of test. The applications of the candidates who do not submit confirmation within the stipulated period will be rejected absolutely. The periods regarding the submission of confirmation and the availability of Admission Ticket will be published in the examination calendar itself. Information in this regard will be given to the candidates in their respective profiles and in the mobile phones registered in it.
