1) A Degree in Mathematics or Statistics and B.Ed/BT degree in the concerned subject conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. Note: Degrees/Diplomas awarded by Universities established or recognized by Parliament/State Legislature as per G.O(MS) No.526/65/PD dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable for appointment in Government service. 2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemptions: 1. Candidates who have acquired CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the concerned subject or M.Ed in any subject are exempted from the K-TET qualification (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.2016, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016, G.O.(P)No.15/2020/G Edn dated 9.10.2020). 2. CTET Primary Stage is accepted for KTET Category I and CTET Elementary Stage for KTET Category II. As per the government circular dated 09.03.2018, CTET is not accepted for KTET Category III and IV. Notes: (i) M.Phil degree in the concerned subject must be from a University in Kerala or recognized as equivalent by a University in Kerala. (ii) Ministerial staff of the General Education Department who entered service before 31.03.2012 are exempted from passing K-TET. (iii) Candidates with Post Graduate Degree in Mathematics/Statistics and B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject can apply. (iv) Rural Service Diploma awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education is considered equivalent to a degree. (v) Bsc.Ed degree in Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics stream conducted by the Regional Institute of Education of NCERT is acceptable (G.O.(P) No. 117/13/G Edn. Dated 30.3.2013).

Candidates must be a Full Member or Approved Probationer in the Kerala General Education Subordinate Service as of the date of application. Candidates must have completed 5 years of service in the General Education Department as Clerk, Typist, Attender, Office Attendant, or Binder. Reservation rules under KS & SSR Part II Rule 14-17 are not applicable for this by-transfer appointment. Candidates must apply to only one district.
