18-40. Candidates should be born between 02/01/1981 and 01/01/2003 (both dates included). Usual relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed to candidates belonging to Other Backward Communities and SC/ST. Note: In any case, the upper age limit shall not exceed 50 years.

1) A Degree in Malayalam and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Malayalam awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala and Certificate in Language Teacher Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption: Candidates who have acquired CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the relevant subject and M.Ed in any subject are exempted from acquiring K-TET qualification (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.2016, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016, G.O. (P) No. 15/2020/G.Edn. dated 09.10.2020).

i) Applications must be submitted online through the Commission's website www.keralapsc.gov.in after One Time Registration. Applications submitted otherwise will be summarily rejected. ii) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each district. The Ranked List published as per this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. If a new Ranked List is published for the same post in the same district after one year, the list prepared as per this notification will cease to be in force. iii) Candidates should apply to only one district. If a candidate applies to more than one district, their applications will be rejected and disciplinary action will be taken. iv) Selection is district-wise as per G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Candidates appointed cannot be transferred to another district for five years from the date of commencement of service. v) Candidates claiming a caste different from that recorded in their SSLC book must produce the Gazette notification and the Caste Certificate/Non-Creamy Layer Certificate from the Revenue Authority at the time of verification. vi) 4% of vacancies are reserved for differently-abled candidates (Blindness, Low vision, Hearing impairment, Locomotor disability, Autism, etc.). Refer to G.O. (P) No. 19/2020/SJD dated 25/08/2020. vii) K.S & S.S.R Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. viii) Special benefits regarding age limit and appointment for dependents of Jawan, departmental Laboratory Attendants, Scouts and Guides, and Nursery/Primary school teachers are applicable as per government orders.
