25 - 45. Only candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Communities. (For conditions regarding the age relaxation please see Part II Para 2 of the General Conditions).

a) Masters Degree in Home Science or Social work or Sociology or Psychology of a recognised University. b) Preferential Qualification:- Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work recognised by Government of India or Government of Kerala.

Note I :- 1. The post of Child Development Project Officer is reserved exclusively for women. 2. (i) Candidates appointed by direct recruitment shall undergo a training for a period of three months as per the programme issued by the Director of Women and Child Development. (ii) The period of training shall be counted for all service benefits. 3. Every person appointed to this post shall, from the date on which she joins duty, be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. 4. Every person appointed shall during the period of probation pass the following tests, if she has not already passed the same, namely. 1) Account test (Lower) or Account test for Executive Officers. 2) Manual of Office Procedure test. Note II:- 1. Rule 10 a (ii) of part II of KS & SSR is applicable. 2. In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to the qualifications specified for the post in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post shall also be sufficient for the post. The candidates who submit application claiming equivalent/higher qualification shall produce Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications as and when required by the Commission. 3. As per the provisions of G.O (MS) No. 526/PD dated 17.07.1965, the degrees and diplomas awarded by UGC approved Universities or Universities established through an act passed by Parliament/State Legislative Assemblies are acceptable for appointment in Government Services. 4% of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled Candidates with disabilities as specified in GO (P) No. 5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023 and GO (P) No. 11/2025/SJD dated 15.08.2025.
