Age Limit
35-46, Candidates must be born between 02/01/1976 and 01/01/1987 (both dates included). (For age relaxation, see Part II, General Conditions of the Gazette Notification). Note: 1) The upper age limit of 50 years is applicable to candidates who are not already in Government service, subject to the provisions of Rule 10(c) of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958, for SC/ST/OBC candidates. 2) The maximum upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC candidates already in service in the respective department is 50 years.
Qualifications
(1) A First Class or Second Class Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution. OR A Post Graduate Degree in Management with specialization in (a) Project Evaluation and Management (b) Operations Research from a recognized University or Management Institute. 2) Five years of practical experience in Project Planning.
Notes
1) KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a) ii is applicable. 2) The above practical experience must be obtained after acquiring the prescribed educational qualification. 3) Prescribed practical experience is not mandatory for SC/ST candidates. 4) Candidates claiming equivalence for the qualifications mentioned in the notification must produce the Government Order proving the equivalence at the time of certificate verification. 5) In case of any difference in the caste/community claimed in the application and the SSLC book, the candidate must produce a Non-Creamy Layer/Caste Certificate along with a Gazette Notification regarding the change in caste/community at the time of certificate verification. Probation: Candidates appointed to this post will be on probation for a period of two years within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining. Reservation: The reservation rules given in Part II, Rules 14 to 17 of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958 are not applicable to this post.
