Method of appointment
Direct Recruitment (from among Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava, Viswakarma, Scheduled Tribe communities only). Note 1:- Applications submitted by candidates other than the above mentioned communities will be summarily rejected. Individual communication regarding the rejection of their application will not be issued. Note 2:- As per G.O(P) No.61/12/SWD dated 17.10.2012, Locomotor Disability/ Cerebral Palsy is eligible for appointment to this post. Other differently abled categories like Blind, Low vision, Hearing Impaired are not eligible for this post.
Age Limit
(1) 21-49; Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava, Viswakarma communities candidates must have been born between 02.01.1972 and 01.01.2000 (both dates included) (including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions). (2) 21-50: Scheduled Tribe candidates must have been born between 02.01.1971 and 01.01.2000 (both dates included) (including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions). Note:- For other conditions regarding age limit, please see Para 2 of the General Conditions except para 2(i).
Qualifications
1. Medical Postgraduate Degree (eg:MD) in the concerned subject or DNB in the concerned subject from a recognized University. 2. Three years Teaching Experience or such other teaching experience prescribed by the Medical Council of India. 3. Permanent Registration under State Medical Council (Travancore-Cochin Medical Council). NB: Candidates who claim equivalent qualification should produce the Government Order/equivalent certificate (if the notification specifies equivalence) proving the equivalence at the time of verification, solely-on which the qualification will be considered as equivalent.
Notes
1. Residency Programme PG Degree holders shall be reckoned as teaching experience for Assistant Professor. Candidates who acquired PG Degree without Residency Programme shall submit a certificate from the Principal of the College where he/she studied, that he/she has obtained teaching/clinical experience during the PG Degree course period. 2. Persons appointed to this post should serve in the Defence Services or on jobs connected with Defence in India or abroad, anywhere, for the first ten(10) years (including training period) of their service. This compulsory military service is not applicable to those who have completed 45 years of age and to differently abled candidates. 3. KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)ii is applicable.
