21-49. Candidates born between 02/01/1972 and 01/01/2000 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. (Including the relaxation in Para 2(i) of the General Conditions). Note: For other age relaxation conditions, see Part II, Para 2 of the General Conditions, except Para 2(i).

1. Post Graduate Degree (MD) in the concerned subject from a recognized University or DNB in the concerned subject. 2. Three years teaching experience or such other teaching experience as prescribed by the Medical Council of India. 3. Permanent Registration with State Medical Council (Travancore-Cochin Medical Council).

1. Residency training period for PG degree will be considered as teaching experience for Assistant Professor post. Candidates who obtained PG degree without residency training must produce a certificate from the Principal of the college where they studied, stating that they have obtained teaching/clinical experience during their PG study period. 2. Candidates appointed to this post must serve in the Defence Services or on defence-related jobs anywhere in India or abroad for the first 10 years of their service (including training period), for a period of 4 years. This mandatory military service is not applicable to those who have completed 45 years of age and those belonging to the differently-abled category. 3. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce Government Order/Equivalence Certificate (if mentioned in the notification) at the time of verification to be considered for the same. 4. If the caste/community claimed in the application differs from that recorded in the SSLC book, the candidate must produce the relevant Gazette notification regarding the change of caste along with the Non-Creamy Layer Certificate at the time of document verification. 5. KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.
