18-36. Candidates must have been born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Other backward communities, SC and ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation. (For conditions regarding age relaxation, please see Para (2) of Part II of the General Conditions).

1) Pass in 7th Standard or its equivalent qualification. 2) Must possess current Motor Driving Licence of-Light Motor Vehicles and Heavy Motor Vehicles with Driver's Badge and should have minimum 3 years experience in driving Heavy Motor Vehicles. Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 should have separate endorsement for driving Heavy Duty Goods Vehicles and Heavy Duty Passenger Vehicles. Medical Fitness:- Should be medically fit as per the standards specified below: (i) Ear - Hearing should be perfect. (ii) Eye - Distant Vision :- 6/6 Snellen Near vision :- 0.5 snellen Colour Vision :- Normal Night blindness :- Nil (iii) Muscles and joints - No Paralysis and all joints with free movement. (iv) Nervous System- Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases.

Note I:- 1) Driving Licence should be valid not only at the time of submitting the application, but also at the several stages of selection. 2) Proficiency in driving Heavy Duty Vehicles shall be proved by a practical test conducted by the KPSC during the course of selection. 3) Fitness should be proved by a Medical Certificate obtained from a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon. 4) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. 5) The equivalency of qualifications shall be established by Government Orders at the time of certificate verification. 6) Candidates who claim equivalent qualification should produce the relevant Government Order to prove equivalency at the time of Certificate Verification, produced which such qualification will not be considered.
