18-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1978 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post (including the relaxation as per para 2 (i) of the General Conditions). Note:-For conditions regarding the maximum age limit, please see Part II of the Gazette Notification (except para 2(i)). Subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

1) A Degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR Pre-Degree with Part III Arabic (Special Optional) of the Calicut University. OR Plus Two Part III Arabic (Optional) Course of the Higher Secondary Board, Kerala. OR 1st Language (First Class) Part I & II Arabic of SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR SSLC or its equivalent examination with any of the following additional qualifications: 1) Arabic Munshi (Higher) Examination of the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 2) Arabic Munshi (Lower) Examination of the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 3) Arabic Teachers Examination of the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 4) Arabic Entrance Examination of the Kerala or Calicut Universities. Note: BA Arabic & Islamic History double main degree awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala is also considered as a valid qualification for the post as per G.O.(Ms) No.8/19/G.Edn. dated 14.01.2019. 2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post. Exemption: NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed. in the respective subjects are exempted from passing TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.2016, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016). Note 1: M.Ed. equivalent to KTET is not insisted as per G.O.(P) No. 15/2020/G.Edn. dated 09.10.2020. Note 2: M.Phil acquired in the concerned subject from a University in Kerala or recognized by a University in Kerala shall be equivalent. Note 3: Candidates possessing the minimum qualification of SSLC or equivalent shall possess the qualifications as per GO(MS) No.232/09/G.Edn. dated 30.11.2009. Note 4: Rule 10(a)ii of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable.

(i) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. (ii) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against all the vacancies earmarked for the respective communities, but remain unfilled due to the paucity of candidates during the currency of the ranked list published as detailed below: Ernakulam - 15.02.2019 (Cat. No. 532/13) Thrissur - 22.02.2019 (Cat. No. 532/13) Palakkad - 29.03.2019 (Cat. No. 532/13) (iii) Candidates shall submit application to the districts noted against each community and shall note the name of the district against the relevant column of the online application. Applications should not be submitted to more than one district. (iv) The selection pursuant to this notification will be subject to rules framed under G.O.(MS) No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. (v) Discrepancies in respect of Caste/Community in the SSLC book shall be produced with relevant Gazette notification and Caste/Non-Creamy Layer Certificate at the time of OTR verification. (vi) Wives of Jawans are given preference as per G.O(MS) No.50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970 and other relevant orders. (vii) First Class Scouts and Guides are given preference as per G.O.(MS) No.122/75/G.Edn. dated 27.05.1975. (viii) Candidates must upload photograph taken after 31.12.2011 with name and date of photo clearly marked on it. (ix) Candidates must register Aadhar Card as ID Proof in their Profile.
