Age Limit
for OBC, Viswakarma, LC/AI, Dheevara & SCCC: 18-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. (Including age relaxation as per Para 2(i) of the General conditions) Note: In the case of adult members of Scheduled Caste and their children converted to Christian religion the upper age limit shall be 45 years. i.e., candidates born between 02.01.1980 & 01.01.2007. for ST: 18-45. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post [Including age relaxation as per Para 2(i) of the General conditions] Note: For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see Para (2) of the General Conditions under Part II of this Notification except Para 2(i).
Qualifications
I A pass in Higher Secondary Examination with Arabic as an optional subject or as second language; OR A pass in Afzal-Al-Ulama Preliminary examination; OR A pass in the Pre Degree examination with Arabic as an optional subject; OR A pass in the SSLC examination from Arabic Oriental School or from academic school with Arabic as First Language conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala and a pass in Higher Secondary examination; OR A pass in Higher Secondary examination and a pass in Arabic Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala; OR A pass in Higher Secondary Examination and Degree/ Post Graduate Degree in Arabic language conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala: AND A pass in the 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (Arabic), in short D.El.Ed (Arabic), examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. Note: Qualifications noted below are applicable to those candidates who have acquired (Item-II) qualifications or gained admission to the respective (Item-II) qualifying courses on or before 07.03.2019. Those who have gained admission to Item-II qualifying courses from 08.03.2019 to 09.06.2024 will be considered only if they possess D.El.Ed qualification in Arabic as on the last date of receipt of application. II A degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A title of Oriental learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala OR A Pass in Pre-degree with Part III Arabic (Special Optional) of the Calicut University. OR A pass in Plus two, Part III, Arabic (optional) course conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations. Kerala. OR A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala with Arabic under Part I and Part II First Language. OR A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent and any one of the following qualifications. (i) A Pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Higher) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. (ii) A Pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Lower) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. (iii) A Pass in Arabic Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. (iv) A Pass in Arabic Entrance Examination of the Kerala and Calicut Universities. Note: In addition to the above qualifications, BA Arabic & Islamic History double main degree awarded or recognized by Universities in Kerala will also be considered as a qualification for the above said post. [G.O.(Ms).No.8/2019/G.Edn dated 14.01.2019] III Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test-IV (K-TET-IV) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. [Generally applicable for those who apply under 7(I) and 7(II) above] Exemption: (i) Candidates who have qualified CTET/ NET/ SET/ M.Phil/ Ph.D in the respective subjects or M.Ed are exempted from acquiring K-TET. [G.O.(P).No. 145/2016/G.Edn Dated 30.08.16; G.O.(P).No.206/2016/G.Edn Dated 08.12.2016]. (ii) Candidates who have acquired C-TET (Primary stage & Elementary stage) will not be considered against K-TET Category III and IV. [G.O.(P).No.6/2024/G.Edn dated 01.02.2024] (iii) Candidates who have acquired K-TET Category III are exempted from acquiring K-TET Category IV. [G.O.(Ms).No.109/2022/G.Edn dated 24.06.2022] Note: (a) As per G.O.(P).No.15/2020/G.Edn dated 09.10.2020, M.Ed, which is prescribed as a substitute qualification for K-TET, need not be subject specific. (b) M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognized as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. (c) Candidates should possess the minimum general educational qualification for the post viz, A pass in SSLC examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. [G.O.(Ms).No.232/2009/G.Edn. Dated 30.11.2009] [This clause is applicable only for those who apply with qualifications specified as 7 (II)]. (d) Rule 10 a(ii) of Part II KS&SSR will be applicable for this post. (e) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission.
Notes
Note: (i) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the community other than that notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued. But in the absence of candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe community, candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste community will be considered. (ii) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for the above districts for each community in pursuance of this notification. NCA Ranked Lists thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, which remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following dates. (iii) Candidates shall submit application for the post to any one of the above mentioned districts where the vacancy is existing for the respective community and shall note the name of that district against the relevant column in the online application. Applications should not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification. If applications are sent contrary to the above direction, and if the candidate is selected, his/ her name will be removed from the Ranked List and disciplinary action will be taken against him/ her. (iv) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(Ms).No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/ she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(Ms).No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. But as per the G.O.(P).No.12/96/P&ARD dated 16.3.1996 the conditions of 5 years Service is not applicable for transfer to the districts Idukki, Wayanad and Kasaragod. The concession will be available only for getting transfer to these districts but not for getting transfer out of these districts. And these concession will be granted only once in the career of a Government Servant. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. Special concessions regarding Appointment and age limit: (i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(Ms) No. 50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970 and G.O. (Ms) No. 9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.01.1978 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base Establishment are included under the term 'Jawans'. Wives of Jawans should select “Are you entitled to any priority” as “yes” on the online application and give the details in the space following. Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer Commanding stating the name, military rank and military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O (Ms) No. 509/64/Edn. Dated 19.09.1964, G.O.(Ms) No. 614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.1965 and G.O (Ms) No. 243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.1966). (ii) First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O (MS) No. 122/75/G.Edn. Dated 27.05.1975 and GO(Ms) No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.1970). Note: The candidates who are eligible for the above preferences or concessions in upper age limit or concessions by virtue of any of the reason mentioned in Para 2 of the General Condition should claim the same through the “weightage and preferences” link provided in their One Time Registration Profile and give details in the space provided. The applications of candidates who are eligible for concession in upper age limit and who do not claim the same, are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates. Upper age limit after allowing the relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years of age (see para 2 of General Conditions).
