By Transfer (from qualified staff in the Ministerial Subordinate Service or Last Grade Service in the Kerala Vocational Higher Secondary Education Department only) Note :- The total number of sanctioned post in the cadre of Laboratory Technical Assistants shall be filled by By Transfer and Direct Recruitment in the ratio 1:9 subject wise . If sufficient number of qualified persons are not available for by transfer appointment such vacancies shall also be filled up by direct recruitment as per G.O (P) No. 81/2004/Gl. Edn dated 12.03.2004.

Must have completed 18 (Eighteen) years on 01.01.2014. (The conditions regarding age relaxations in para 2 of the General conditions are not applicable in By Transfer recruitment.)

(i) A pass in Vocational Higher Secondary Education in the concerned course OR (ii) A pass in ITI in the concerned trade

The following conditions are applicable for the selection of By Transfer recruitment. (i) Candidates who apply for both Direct and By Transfer recruitment should submit separate applications. (ii) The rules regarding the reservation of appointments contemplated in the article 14 to 17 of para II of Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules 1958 are not applicable to the selection of By Transfer recruitment. (iii) The applicant should be a regular staff in the Ministerial Subordinate Service or Last Grade Service in the Kerala Vocational Higher Secondary Education Department. They should obtain a certificate from the Head of Office showing their service particulars in the form given as Annexure of the notification and produce the same as and when required by the Commission. (iv) Persons appointed through Employment exchange or otherwise and working in Temporary/Provisional basis are not eligible to apply for the post in response to this notification. (v) Every person appointed to the post shall be from the date on which he/she joins duty will be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. (vi) The commission shall conduct a common test if necessary for the candidates who apply for Direct and By Transfer recruitment and separate ranked lists will be published.
