Direct recruitment from among the qualified candidates in Kerala Water Authority (PHED) who have at least two years of service in the posts of 1st and 2nd Grade Draftsman, Water Works Inspector, Drainage Inspector, 1st and 2nd Grade Overseer, 1st and 2nd Grade Works Superintendent, and at least 6 years of service in the post of Clerk in Kerala Water Authority (PHED), and Engineering graduates in Kerala Water Authority who have at least 3 years of service as 3rd Grade Overseer.

Upper age limit is not applicable (See Note 2). 1. For appointment from service - The reservation rules from 14 to 17 of the Kerala State and Subordinate Services Rules are not applicable to this selection. 2. Those appointed must serve in the Defense Services or in a defense-related job in India or abroad for 4 years (including training period) within the first 10 years of service. This condition is not generally applicable to those over 40 years of age. 3. Applicants must obtain a service certificate in the prescribed format from the Head of Office to prove regular service in the Kerala Water Authority and produce it when required by the Commission.

1. Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering from Kerala University or B.Sc. Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering from Madras University or any other qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto. OR 2. (a) Associate Membership Diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering of the Institution of Engineers (India) or any other diploma recognized as equivalent thereto. OR (b) Must have passed Sections 'A' and 'B' of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.

1. The number of candidates to be included in the short list/probability list will be decided based on the availability of acceptable applications. 2. The vacancies listed are currently existing. The rank list prepared will be valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. 3. Any appointment recommendation made based on the above post can be cancelled by the Kerala Public Service Commission if it is later found to be incorrect. 4. Candidates with B.Tech/BE qualifications in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering from recognized universities in Kerala or other universities recognized by the UGC can apply. 5. KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)ii is applicable. 6. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the government order proving the equivalence at the time of certificate verification. 7. Disciplinary action as per KPSC Rules of Procedure 1976 Rule 22 will be taken against candidates who provide false claims regarding education, experience, etc. 8. Candidates must keep a soft copy/print out of the online application for future use. 9. Candidates must confirm their participation for the written/OMR/online examination through their One Time Registration profile. 10. Sub-clauses (v), (vii), (viii), (ix), (x), (xi) & (xiii) of the second paragraph of the General Conditions and clauses 5, 6, 7 are not applicable to this post.
