20-46. Only candidates born between 02/01/1975 and 01/01/2001 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual age relaxation to Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50(fifty) years. 1. A Post graduate Degree in Ayurveda in the concerned subject from any of the Universities in Kerala or from any other University recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala 2. Permanent 'A' class Registration with Travancore – Cochin Medical Council(Council of Indigenous Medicine)

NOTE : 1) Post graduate degree in the concerned subject has been made compulsory for appointment by direct recruitment to the post of Assistant professor. 2) If post-graduate holders of any subject are not available, post-graduate qualification prescribed by Central Council of Indian Medicine shall be admissible for that subject from time to time. 3) Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of the verification then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. 4) In the case of difference in original Caste/Community claimed in the application and that entered in S.S.L.C book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette Notification in this regard, along with Non Creamy Layer Certificate/Community Certificate at the time of Certificate Verification. 5) Rule 10(a) (ii) of KS& SSR Part II is applicable. Probation:- Every person appointed to this post shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
