18 – 40. Candidates born between 02/01/1982 and 01/01/2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation will be given to SC/ST and Other Backward Communities. For other conditions regarding age relaxation, see Part II of the General Conditions.

1) Degree in any subject from a recognized university or equivalent qualification. 2) English Typewriting (Higher) KGTE or equivalent qualification. 3) Malayalam Typewriting (Lower) KGTE or equivalent qualification. 4) English Shorthand (Higher) KGTE or equivalent qualification. 5) Malayalam Shorthand (Lower) KGTE or equivalent qualification. 6) Certificate in Word Processing and Spreadsheet Processing in any computer language or equivalent qualification.

1. The vacancy is currently existing in the General Category. Future vacancies reported to the Federation will be divided in 1:1 ratio between General Category (Part I) and Society Category (Part II). The first turn will be for the General Category. Vacancies for Society Category will be notified separately as Part II. Appointments from both lists will be made following the reservation rules 14 to 17 of KS&SSR 1958. 2. The Ranked List prepared will be valid for a minimum period of one year and a maximum of three years. If a new Ranked List is published after one year, the current list will cease to be valid. If no appointment is advised from the list within 3 years, the list will be extended until at least one person is appointed or until a new list is published, whichever is earlier. 3. Selection will be on a State-wide basis. 4. As per KCS Rule 184, candidates appointed will be on probation for a period of 1 year within a continuous service of 2 years from the date of joining. 5. Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II, KS&SSR is applicable. 6. Candidates must produce the government order proving equivalency of their qualification at the time of certificate verification. 7. In case of any difference in caste mentioned in SSLC book, candidates must claim the correct caste in the application and produce the relevant caste/non-creamy layer certificate and gazette notification at the time of verification. 8. Candidates must confirm their participation for OMR/Online test through their One Time Registration profile. Failure to confirm will lead to rejection of application. 9. Candidates must upload a photo taken after 31.12.2012. For profiles created after 01.01.2022, the photo must be taken within 6 months, with name and date of taking the photo clearly printed at the bottom. 10. Aadhaar card must be provided as identity proof in the profile.
