Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Tribe candidates of Adivasi communities residing in Adivasi settlements inside forests, surrounded by forests or adjoining forests and dependent on forests for livelihood).

18 - 41. Candidates should have been born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included). No other relaxation in age is allowed for this selection.

1) Educational Qualifications: Passed SSLC or equivalent examination, or completed SSLC Course or equivalent qualification. Note: Candidates who have passed SSLC will be considered only in the absence of candidates who have completed the SSLC Course or equivalent qualification. 2) Other Qualifications: (a) Male Candidates: (i) Physical Measurements: Height - Minimum 159 cm, Chest - Minimum 75 cm with minimum 5 cm expansion. (ii) Endurance Test: Must qualify in any 3 (three) events out of the 8 (eight) events specified below under the One Star Standard. 1. 100 Meters Run - 14 Seconds 2. High Jump - 132.20 cm 3. Long Jump - 457.20 cm 4. Putting the Shot (7264 grams) - 609.60 cm 5. Throwing Cricket Ball - 6096 cm 6. Rope Climbing (using hands only) - 365.80 cm 7. Pull Ups or Chinning - 8 times 8. 1500 Meters Run - 5 Minutes 44 Seconds (b) Female Candidates: (i) Physical Measurements: Height - Minimum 150 cm, Chest - Not applicable. (ii) Endurance Test: Must qualify in any 3 (three) events out of the 9 (nine) events specified below under the One Star Standard. 1. 100 Meters Run - 17 Seconds 2. High Jump - 106 cm 3. Long Jump - 305 cm 4. Putting the Shot (4000 grams) - 400 cm 5. 200 Meters Run - 36 Seconds 6. Throwing the Throw Ball - 1400 cm 7. Shuttle Race (2500 cm X 400 cm) - 26 Seconds 8. Pull Ups or Chinning - 8 times 9. Skipping (One minute) - 80 times 3) Medical Standards: All male/female candidates must possess the following medical standards: (i) Ear: Good hearing power. (ii) Eye: Without glasses, vision should be as specified below: Right Eye / Left Eye a) Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen / 6/6 Snellen b) Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen / 0.5 Snellen c) Colour Vision: Normal / Normal d) Night Blindness: Must be absent / Must be absent (iii) Muscles and Joints: Free from paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movement. (iv) Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from infectious diseases.

1. Differently abled candidates are not eligible to apply for this notification. 2. Both men and women belonging to the eligible Adivasi communities can apply. 3. Candidates applying under the 40% quota reserved for daily wage workers in the Forest Department should submit separate applications for both categories if they wish to apply under the general category as well. 4. Alappuzha district has no forest, hence no selection in that district. 5. Selected candidates must undergo training in any forest training school for one year. 6. Probation: Two years of probation within a continuous period of 3 years from the date of joining. 7. NCC Certificate holders (A, B, C certificates) will be given additional marks as per rules.
